November 12, 201015 yr Peter Dowson does not appear to promote the use of FSUIPC4 over FSX.Options.Controls unless you require different settings for a joystick for each of a number of aircraft. As I only fly the PMDG 744X, and under W7, I should be able to set up my Saitek X45 throttle with an effective thrust idle. But I cannot see how to do this.At present, setting the thrust lever to minimum on landing does not give an idle, and I therefore am unable to engage reverse thrust. So I resort to manual braking whilst frantically pressing the engines idle key (F1 or F2).Has anyone any advice on how they have managed to set an effective engine idle thrust, using the FSX Controls parameters, please? November 12, 201015 yr have you tried recalibrating and increasing the dead zone on the throttle axis? Luca Benelli PMDG & WX Radar? read here
November 13, 201015 yr Commercial Member Richard-This is a problem with your hardware/calibration, not with the 747-400.I have the same hardware setup- and have no problems with it at all. Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
