27 inch or 30 inch

Featured Replies

hi alli am currently using a 22 inch monitor for FSX and was wanting to go up to a larger screen, do you think i should go up to a 27 inch at 1920 x 1080 or spend considerably more and go for the Dell and get awesome 2560 x 1600.My specs are Intel i920, 4 Gig of GSkill Ram, 1TB HDD, Zotac GTX 285.Regards

The bigger the better! If You PC can handle this, go for 30" if price is not the issue.I have 5040x1050 and I would like to go for more, but there is no PC available for 5040x2048 in FSX

If you can afford 30 inch monitor, why are you looking for 27 inch monitor.Go ahead with your 30 inch monitor. Dell Ultrasharp 3007WFP 30 is simply fabulous, I am also having the same with good experience.

What would really be nice is a 27inch LED... The difference is night and day. I've noticed even the cheapest LED models outperform the most expensive LCDs for IQ.

I have a 30-in Samsung monitor at 250 x 1600 dpi, and FSX is just beautiful. At this resolution, I can fly most, if not all, of my planes in virtual mode. The model I have is the SyncMaster 305T, but I suspect has been replaced with a newer version.I just love it.Bill Clark

well i ended up getting the Dell U2711. The reason why this one me over is the screen resolution 2560 x 1440, nearly as much resolution as the 30inch dell, but half the price!!!Its on order so gotta wait for it to get here.http://www1.ap.dell.com/au/en/home/monitors/monitor-dell-u2711/pd.aspx?refid=monitor-dell-u2711&s=dhs&cs=audhs1

Sorry as I am really no tech guy, but what is so different in viewing experience between LED and LCDs? I have some oldish 23" flat screen, believe it's LCD (TFT??). What would I expect from a LED display?
got my 27 Dell = Beautiful!
Post a pic (not a screenshot)!
