November 16, 201015 yr I did a lot of testing to find out when and how the autobrakes work for me. So far, it looks quite good, but I have two questions:1.From what the manual describes, I conclude that below 80 kts, ABS RTO mode becomes active when: -) RTO is set on the ABS selector and -) ground spoilers deploy.Spoilers deploy below 80 kts when autospoilers are armed and 2 out of 3 throttles are moved to reverse. So, if the plane doesn't move at all, with autospoilers armed and ABS set to RTO (and no parking brake set or manual braking of course), shouldn't ABS become active and the spoiler handle move downwards as soon as at least two throttles are put in reverse thrust? Doesn't work with the plane, so either that's not simulated or there's another prerequisite for ABS engagement below 80 kts I don't know of.2.I practiced several rejected takeoffs and set everything back to normal each time after the RTO (ABS selector to OFF, then back to RTO, spoilers stow and re-arm).On one occasion, I noticed that the green box was missing completely and appeared only after setting TO thrust. Is that normal? I got no warning at all and put special attention to get all systems back to nominal from the last RTO I performed before... Andreas, LOWW - Nihil sumus et fuimus mortales. November 16, 201015 yr If the plane doesn't move then RTO cannot be activated. Are you trying to simulate a RTO from a standing start? Why?The green box should appear before takeoff roll. If it were missing until after TO thrust then something was missing in the pre-takeoff list. Dan Downs KCRP
November 16, 201015 yr Could you point us to the section of the manual you are refering to? Wouldn't it make more sense for the RTO logic to become active above 80 knots? "A life is like a garden. November 17, 201015 yr Thank you Harry,I'll have a look at it. "A life is like a garden.
