Figured it out!! There's a bar right above the engine throttles, flip it up and the props pitch and you go go go!Lotsa other stuff to figure out, but at least I'm airborne. There's a nice pictoral cockpit thing with clickable panels here:http://www.dashflash.com/page3.html

I bet you guys got some nice warning bells and alarms when you were trying to take off with the throttle lock on. :-lol As Donald said, read the manual. This is a great airplane, made me go back and fly FS2004 again.Carlos.

Thanks for the link Enzoblue, neat stuff there.Carlos.

hican the prog be use with FS2002?cheers

Did remember to remove the throttle lock before take off?

>Figured it out!! There's a bar right above the engine>throttles, flip it up and the props pitch and you go go go!Yeah, that's the throttle lock! This isn't a simple plane guys, you may actually have to read the manual on this one. ;)

It works perfectly fine if you know how to use it. Read documentation. By far the best plane around. And it is free!Michael

Yes Labeaux, could you tell me which ammendments to make to the .cfg I think there are about 7-8 lines to change)Thanks!/Mike

I have read all that I could find on the Fanda Dash 8. (including an HTML page I found somewhere on the Fanda site.)At any rate, guess flying the beautiful aircraft; for me, is not to be.I am running at 1024 x 768, windowed mode. NO need to recommend that I fly in full screen mode because I tried to to that about a month ago and ended up not being able to run FS 2004 at all. The panel seems to be all encompassing and thus too difficult for me to read. (Note I said "for me". I say that in the hopes that it will stop any flamers out there who never understand that we are all not as perfect as they are.) I am unable (even after pouring over the "manual") to enable the avionics. i.e. switch on radios, etc.Too bad. This is one heckuva splendidly done flight sim aircraft. (my loss)Regards,DonaldS

Donald,Don't give up. Everything you have said, I said in the beginning. It is a learning curve. Make sure you do the introductory flight in the docs. I had to read them a couple or three times before I got some of the stuff. If possible change your screen resolution to 1280x1024 32bit. It will make a big, big difference. As for your avionics, make sure you have 'juice'. The AC inverters must be on for them to work [shift+2] will bring up the panel you need. Look in the upper right corner to find the AC switches. Also make sure your GPU is on for both the DC & AC before you start.Check out the forums at the fanda site. Lots of great people there that went through all the learning curves you did.Click on my signature bar below.

I got this a long time ago off one of the forums and it helped the reading of the panel in the 2002 model. I have not tried it yet in the 2004 model. Thx to Gord Noseworthy for this fix. And especially thanks to Fanda for this incredible aircraft!!!"This is what I change in the panel.cfg file in order to make the panel more readable:In the section: Window01Change:window_size= 0.590, 0.440to:window_size= 0.80, 0.60Under Window02:Change:window_size= 0.140, 0.160window_pos= 0.010, 0.830To:window_size= 0.30, 0.340window_pos= 0.010, 0.60Under Window03:Change:window_size= 0.220, 0.280window_pos= 0.000, 0.720To:window_size= 0.40, 0.510window_pos= 0.000, 0.480Under Window04:Change:window_size= 0.470, 0.120window_pos= 0.540, 0.000To:window_size= 0.60, 0.150window_pos= 0.38, 0.000Under Window05:Change to:window_size= 0.450, 0.580window_pos= 0.54, 0.410And finally under Window07:Change:window_size= 0.370, 0.660window_pos= 0.630, 0.340To:window_size= 0.50, 0.90window_pos= 0.250, 0.08You can also change your screen resolution to 1280 x 1024 (I think?). This will also increase the font size and make the gauges more readable. However, your card and monitor must be able to support this. Hope this helps!Regards,Gord Noseworthy"NigelVancouver

Also, to make the panel more readable, when you have battery's and external power switches on, turn on the individial panel light switches, this backlights the lettering and makes them easier to read!RegardsTim

YES, YES, the panel.cfg was NOT done by me. Gord Noseworthy deserves all credit for the changes to make the panels bigger. I just happened to have it still installed in FS2K2 and used the numbers into the FS9 panel.cfgI'm sure there will be changes and additions to this fantastic plane, it's just come out. In fact, the support forum is overloaded with new posts!

Huge thanks to Nigel for posting this!! Huge. Thanks to Gord if he reads here too.Did the intro flight in the manual step by step with a huge smile on my face. :)
