October 18, 200322 yr It's in the "What's new" page of the library. It's complete with a working FMC, which is going to require some study to use. This is a great day for Fanda fans!
October 18, 200322 yr It sure is. Just completed my first flight. She's awesome. The FMS works, no terminals yet, but the waypoints and navaids are there.Such a beauty, if you can handle the small lettering on the panels, the Fanda Dash 8 is a MUST HAVE!!
October 18, 200322 yr "...if you can handle the small lettering on the panels..."Somewhere there is an alternative panel.cfg with enlarged subpanels. This solves IMO the small lettering issue. Now, if someone will be kind enough to remind me where it is....Thanx!//Mike
October 18, 200322 yr took it for a little spin, I was surprised at the high frame rates it gives for a panel of such complexity.Again, very well done!!/Mike
October 18, 200322 yr Author Hi Dash 8 freaks :-)i love this plane, because its the most real feeling plane that i know in flight simulations....i really would like to know also where this panel.cfg for bigger letters is!btw: i am working on the PSS-Fanda merge, its pretty easy, some things dont work for now (prop angle on the model dont change, wipers dont work, also the spoilers dont and on and on, but soon i will have my dreammerge back :-)see you in the skiesMcDaniel
October 18, 200322 yr I've got the .cfg if anyone wants it. I've already changed mine to the bigger panels, they just seem to be "out of place" I've got both the original panel.cfg and the "bigger" panel.cfg May work on them a bit more. Can't wait to see if you get the PSS-Fanda merge going McDaniel. What a combo!!
October 18, 200322 yr I've got a CH Flight Sim Yoke, but my vertical rocker switch doesn't do anything for trim. I have to revert to 7 and 1 on the keypad. Anyone else experience this?
October 18, 200322 yr Hey Travis, what you been up to man! [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg Randy J Smith
October 19, 200322 yr Ok a few problems here...1.) I cannot get the elevators working with my joystick (SW2).2.) Cannot get the aircraft past 50knots on the runway.3.) The rudder and ailerons work together??
October 19, 200322 yr Okay, I've been waiting for this release. But - When I went to the Fanda site I downloaded (via AVSIM) two (2) files: 1. dh8-1004.zip - 18,928KB2. dh8-1004a.zip - 1,282Then I saws another file on the Fanta site:dh8-2004b.zip - 4,218KBIt looks like the first thing I should do is install dh8-1004, right?I tried but when I activated the dh8-1004.exe file, it kept making references to FS 2002. I went ahead anyway, but stopped the installation process when a pop-up window stated I should install the files into the FS2002 root. (see attached pic).http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/43924.jpgI stopped the install process there and exited.Does this mean that I should send the files toC:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft ??Thanks for any guidance provided.DonaldS
October 19, 200322 yr No just to your root FS9 directiryC:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator 9http://www.cambridgeflyingclub.com/images/timavatar2.gif
October 19, 200322 yr This thing is messed up, I cannot get it working.Using FSUIPC 3.11 UNregistered by the way.
October 19, 200322 yr The sounds are awesome, I had the resonance booming throughout the house!Best car I've ever had!Yes car, same problem as above. It doesn't go over 50 and thus won't fly. I just putted around in an old dirt airfield. I may have some things not started up or something, but I can't read what the switches are even with a microscope up to the screen. This has been in fs2002, are there any manuals for it or anything?
October 19, 200322 yr Thanks, Tim.I got it installed. Holy Moley! I tried to take off for a test ride and couldn't even make it to the runway. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaI'm now going to read the tutorials on this gem. Or - as the expression used to go, "RTFM". I see plenty of happy sim hours in the Dash on the horizon.Regards,DonaldS
