November 20, 201015 yr Hi. I have a new PC with specs as per my signature below. The GTX470 has drivers 126.099 (show as 8.17.12.6099 in Device Manager) installed. Like so many drivers I have tried before (on other PCs, other nVidia GPUs) they cause problems with FS9 (not tried with FSX yet). I asume it is the drivers that are causing the problems? Maybe someone might be able to advise?Firstly (and this is of course a general, not FS issue) when I change the nVidia Control Panel colour options (brightness, contrast etc.), setting are not saved after a reboot. The sliders are in the same position, but only come into effect after you move one slider and click 'apply' again. This means that I have to reset the nVidia CP every time I reboot. Many drivers in the past have had this same problem. In FS (so far, this is an installation of FS9.1 with no 3rd. party addons at all), I have to be careful to exit a flight only in windowed mode. If I press Escape whilst I am in Full Screen mode, confirm I want to end my flight and then minimize the main FS9 screen to the taskbar, I cannot restore it afterwards - I just get the aircraft rotating against the cloudy backdrop, but no other part of the menu - the rest is black. Clicking anywhere on the screen just gives me a Windows 'dunk' error chord. If I try to go to windowed mode then, I just get a black screen (no more rotating a/c) and have to restart FS.Does anyone have a driver for the GTX4*0 series installed (Windows 7 64-bit) that doesn't have the above problems? Not sure there are that many to choose from on the nVidia site - maybe a modded one somewhere? I searched, but no luck so far (and I don't want to do this by trial and error if I can avoid it).Thank you,Martin Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
November 20, 201015 yr Hello MartinWhile I cannot help with the drivers as I have a GTX260 and run XP64I would suggest that you use your monitors controls to adjust colour, contrast and brightness. That way you just set once and forget about it.

November 20, 201015 yr Author Unfortunately my monitor doesn't have anywhere near the flexibility of control I can get using nVidiaCP... but I am making do for now. Thanks Vic, have saved the post to my desktop. When I get some other FS issues sorted - still can't get my Level-D 767 or PMDG 747 to work on the new PC :-( - I'll turn to nHancer..Martin Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
