Word Not Allowed, and you get no blurries after a longer flight using FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0Jim
Not any more. With the "new" tweak from Bojote, SWAP_WAIT_TIMEOUT=2 and TextureMaxLoad=30 against blurries, everything is great. I did two 2hrs+ flights since then, and saw no blurries.Would it hurt to give it a try? Only further thing on my list is an SSD to see if I can improve smoothness... because I see a difference when I place the sim on the 10k drive, where my FS9 (primary sim) now resides.

One fast question, on the fsx.cfg autotuner: how can i see if my hyperthreading is on or off ? and i7 870 has 8 cores or 4 cores ? when i check the temps i see 4, when i watch it @ task manager i see 8 graphics that show some stats? My progress untill now, with fresh FSX & fsx.cfg, it looks good, much better than before i belive, so some tweaks have workd well i think =)

Looks like HT is enabled on your system. If it wasn't you would only see 4 graphic meters. You usually control HT with a setting in your CMOS, or depending on your MOBO, a software utility, for your MOBO.

Thanks

fiber_frame_time_fraction has no effect after SP2, and even if it did you are using it wrong. High number = more cpu time spent on textures, lower number = less time spent on textures

You should read more about FFTF and previous tests, so you would know what this is about.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/283565-fftf0-tweak-against-fps-dropAnd what you said about SP2, is very much wrong.

PM me your email, I'll send you shots of my last test of FFTF=0...

Actually, it was SP1. My bad

Indeed. Oh well. Mea culpa. Let's retest...

Anyway, retested. Flight with addon terrain and airport scenery, it blurred on test without new tweaks, now, perfect clear picture. If I switch around a lot, takes a bit till it reloads, but so it does without the FFTF=0 tweak. I usually fly an approach from the cockpit though :( So, if anyone feels inclined, we can pull the old thread from the ashes.

What the heck is FFTF=0 anyway?

FIBER FRAME TIME FRACTION ... the = means it is off the default is .33 even if no entry is in the CFG (fsx config file).
