I don't know if anyone has addresse this before but recently, I got rather frustrated with the ATC. I was doing a flight the other night from Geneva to Rome and about a 1/3 of the way through, I got my typical ATC handoff, directing me to contact Rome center. I realize communicating with any "Center" ATC is very busy, but when you are directed to change course and have to wait, and wait and wait to acknowledge because the ATC is busy directing the rest of the traffic is very annoying. Is there an alternative to getting through quicker to the ATC to acknowledge, especially when you are in the last leg of your trip and need to stay in contact for say, an approach?Thanks in advance.Jim

not aware about alternatives, but reducing airline traffic setting would definitely make ATC response quicker, though.

As you have experienced, the built in ATC is trash. I recommend flying online with real humans as ATC, they will perform much better, not to mention much more realistic as well

You could speed up the native ATC chatter for both FSX & FS9 using a free tool called Editvoicepack.http://www.editvoicepack.com/That wil definitely give you a chance to transmit, even on high traffic setting.Gerald R.

can I ask, how high do you have the ai aircraft slider? you may want to lower it.
