October 24, 200322 yr "Install: Just unzip the file and send the Aircrafts folder to the FS2004 AIRCRAFT FOLDER.Then, copy the gauge file and paste into the main gauge folder. Copy effects into the main effects folder. If you use the virtual cockpit you have to download the VC texture from www.avsim.com"First, there is no AIRCRAFT FOLDER, so I assumed it was the main folder with the POSDY 757 name. Then there appears to be no gauge file, then no effects folder. What am I doing wrong? Just did the normal extract using Winzip latest. Below is a print of the zip folder's contents.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. October 25, 200322 yr Noel, Their instructions for the NorthWest Airlines 757 are not correct.1: Just select all the files in the zip and extract them to your Century of Flight (FS9) Aircraft Directory.By Default this directory is:C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9AircraftThis should install the aircraft just fine.2: You will then need to download the Virtual Cockpit (VC) Textures from Avsim - they're in the library - download them at[ftp://library.avsim.net/dynamic2/8e/8e7f8f070b47451ec902da3ae10447c1/posky_757_vc.zip]3: Then extract all these files to a TEMPORARY Directory (IE. C:Temp)4: Go to this temporary directory and open up the POSKY 757 VC sub-directory5: Select all the files in this directory (Edit - Select All)6: Copy all the files in this directory7: Go to where the 757 is installed By Default this directory is:C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9AircraftPosky 757 NorthWest........ (something like that)8: Open the texture directory (may say texture.9: Past the Virtual Cockpit files thereYou're done!If you need any help - just let us know - we'll be glad to help!Cpudan80 :) :+Note: The instuctions provided may not exactly follow your individual configuration -- use at your own risk.
October 25, 200322 yr You may also find the sound file is aliased to a non-default folder that you won't have. Easily changed to one you do have, though.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
October 25, 200322 yr Hi. I too am confused. There are two files here at Avsim. The one you mentioned, and another posky_757_vc_127053.zip. I downloaded the second one. there are two panel.cfg files and no mention as to which one to use or whether to overwrite the existing ones in the Posky 757 aircraft panel folders. Could you please clarify which of these two zip files to use and what to do with the panel.cfg's. Thanks, regards, Bob.
October 25, 200322 yr Thank you very much, I will try this process soon.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. October 25, 200322 yr Just a couple more bits. If you are going to use the vc mode, you have to open the aircraft.cfg file and add VC to the model=BEFORE--------fltsim.0title=Project Opensky Boeing 757-200 AAsim=B757-200-RR-RB211-535E4Bmodel=//add the two letters VC for the VC model <<<<<<<<<
October 25, 200322 yr Sorry about the confusion. The VC textures file originally uploaded was missing the gauge and panel.cfg. You now need to download the updated file (the old has been removed) posky_757_vc_127053.zipThis includes the gauge, textures and panel.cfg to run the VC correctly.
October 25, 200322 yr Author Hi,Beatiful aircraft (Transavia)!!!Finally a VC for the 757 panel and it matches.Question, from where is the sound?(alias=SoundsRR-RB211-535-E4)Jan"Procul Negotiis" Jan "Beatus ille qui procul negotiis..."
October 25, 200322 yr Author Btw,The overheadpanel is a "mirror pic", left is right vv.Can this be changed in the textures with some program?Tried with MSPaint, but all went black.I like the plane and vc very much! Are there plans to do the 767-300 the same way? That would be the nicest "Santa" gift in years!Jan"Procul Negotiis" Jan "Beatus ille qui procul negotiis..."
October 26, 200322 yr Absolutely gorgeous guys!! They're beautiful! It's all good... but I especially want to thank the model designers for the exactness with which others have attempted... you pulled it off marvelously! Also to Ben for the best aluminum textures I've ever seen on the American Airlines livery. Great files!Obviously the Sound.cfg entry was erroneous... Do you have sound files planned and if so, when do you plan to release them? Thanks again...Kevin Sparkuhl
