December 12, 201015 yr A friend of mine have it and he likes it very much, I haven't asked him too much about it though than it's easy on FPS I think. Looks like a nice regional jet, wondering buying it myself. I like the real trawlers of the sky like the MD11. I kind of like to see a aircraft struggling to get the huge mass in the air. (ex-747 400F ground handler)Read the review here on avsim about it, the reviewer didn't find anything disappointing about it. Now I want it a little more too.... :)One thing I have got my &@($* kicked for is the signature. You should sign your full name. Kjetil H Jensen
December 12, 201015 yr I've been flying this plane for a few weeks now, and the thorough, well-written, and fun to read Avsim review does it justice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if you're looking for a modern commercial jet. The CALL! feature is especially helpful. It ensures you don't miss anything during setup and flight. I wish it existed for all my planes. I know there are other checklist type programs out there, but the aural nature, simplicity, and ease of use of this one is just right for my needs. The FMS is also fun to use, if only because it's different than that found on the Boeings and thus a new challenge. I especially liked having to learn what the FMA displays are all about. On Boeing jets I didn't pay as much attention to this as I probably should have, because I didn't find it was all that necessary for my type of flying. With the E-Jets, however, since there's no visual feedback on the Guidance Panel at all about which modes and settings are activated, you have to learn all about the FMA. I now pay much more attention to this display even on a Boeing jet and it has enhanced my flying experience.A guy named Jet Jockey over on the E-Jets forum has posted an excellent gouge (a/k/a set of checklists) for the 175. I suspect he may be the same person who wrote the Avsim review, and these checklists may be the ones referred to in the review. They are very helpful and simplify learning the plane, although the tutorial alone is excellent and does a very good job of doing this. I only wish he'd posted these before I went to the trouble of creating my own.In sum, I think the Avsim review really says all you need to know about this plane. You can feel comfortable relying on it to make your purchasing decision.Robert Robert Chartoff

Would you say there would be any significant benefit in getting the volume 2 package (call & map notwithstanding)? December 12, 201015 yr Pete, I don't have V1 so I can't say. It is my impression, however, that significant improvements have been made in v2 and that it's a worthwhile addition to the fleet.Robert Robert Chartoff
December 12, 201015 yr I can also confirm that the E-Jets v2 works just fine on a 64-bit system. I run Windows Ultimate 7-64 and have had no problems.Robert Robert Chartoff
