December 14, 201015 yr The Level D 767 has some of the most realistic sounds I have heard in FS. When I use the PSS 757 or PMDG 737 I don't feel that the sounds are that great. Any recommendations anybody?CheersDaniel

December 16, 201015 yr If you don't mind that it sounds as if you were sitting inside the engine TSS is fantastic. It's just unrealistic from the cockpit point of view. Cheers - Stefan Maus

Many of the fine designers and artists have done splendid work at making true toi life sounds of the engines. But in the cockpit as some people have said you can't really hear the engines (apart from takeoff and landing). ou hear lots of wind noise gushing past the cockpit. Also with engines off the air con packs and gyros make a lot of noise. Any ideas anyone?Daniel

January 25, 201115 yr Daniel......you just like posting.....or what?If "or what"......please clarify.Ever heard compressed air get released slowly from a stored container (compresser) (or like when your tire gets a puncture? its similar to the sound on the flight deck). That is what the flight deck sounds like. Does anyone bother to include the noise (wind rushing past at a high rate of knots-quite high pitch but very quiet although noticable) when designing sounds? You can find it on youtube. Although if you ask real life pilots what I am talking about they would know this sound.http://www.youtube.com/user/JustPlanes#p/u/4/dJ4keU4xcrM There are better examples. But I know the sound well.

But I know the sound well.Just took a basic voice recording with my Iphone letting a small flow of air out of an air compressor. You might need to turn the volume down. But a high fidelity mic might pick up more high pitched sounds which is far more realistic.Anyway even adding this sound would add realism to sound files.OK couldn't upload it. "Error You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file" it is under 200kb and a M4a file.Here.I uploaded it to Megaupload.http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WITD1CY0
