January 4, 201115 yr C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSXMake sure hidden files and folders are visible.I managed to get that far but now I find the AppData folder is "not accessible. Access denied"I am logged on as Administrator but I suspect there is something tricky in the W7 permissions area which needs to be set.I also see a number of other folders with padlocks on their iconsCould you point me in the right direction about how to proceed? I'm just trying to get to understand W7 on a new laptop :)Thanks--Bryn

January 4, 201115 yr Try turning off UAC (User Account Control) temporarily and see if you now have acccess. Thanks for the reply David. I finally found which folders I was allowed to click on and which I wasn't, and finally got access without the need to change UAC settings. Still at the bottom of the learning curve!--Bryn
