Mario is likely right as I had exactly the same problem. Disable or delete for that area.

It's a bit of a long shot but have a read of my problem in this area I encountered and how I fixed it. Probably only applies if you have Ultimate Terrain (USA).

And did it solve the problem? I hope you don't have too many 3rd party aircraft and scenery packages to install.

No it did not resolve the problem but helped to resolve it. The problem was caused by some bgl file from London City Airport scenery. I did nto checked what file and reinstalled the scenery and now FS9 is working OK.

A bgl for London City affected Seattle thousands of miles away? Blimey! Is it commercial scenery or freeware? It might be worthwhile mentioning it to the author so others don't encounter this problem.

Easy to forget it's all virtual, and there is no 'distance' in fs world, just collections of files, some of which conflict.

Regards,

Mark

In the FS9.cfg under the section [uSERINTERFACE] delete the entry following "SITUATION=" , then restart. You may have a bad WX file, or a crappy FS9.cfg written by the last flight save. It's a boatload better than deleting the whole FS9.cfg & rebuilding. This little trick works especially well when in the FS9.cfg setting of the section [sTARTUP] SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=0 .... You have no control of bad flights, WX, CFGs etc.. if it is set to this. Let FS crawl back to default whilst keeping your setup.

It was a freeware scenery but I think that the reason was mine as I had done updating for that scenery folder.
