Aeroworx B200 Trim

Featured Replies

Anyone know of any edit to the aircraft files that I can do to smooth out the elevator trim in the Aeroworx B200. Just touching the trim has the plane jumping all over the place. Thanks for any help

yep i had the same issue and never found a fix, i think maybe i mentioned it in one of your older threads, if you find a fix let me know :)

If you have the full registered version of FSUIPC, try checking the "Fix Control Acceleration" option...it's quite possible that is the cause of the trim overcontrol.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

Search and download the "realtrim" here in the library. I personally do NOT like the way it proposes to enhance trimming and I do not use it for its main function, however, it has an option to slow down the default trimming speed which works independently from its main function and does not require you to enable/use its way of trimming. So you continue flying/trimming the aircraft just like before but the trimming speed becomes much slower.Give it a go, it's a setup & forget type of tool and really lightweight & simple. I've been using it ever since come out and it has never give me any problems but many hours of smooth hand flying time..

Downloaded RealTrim. Seems to have smoothed it out some. Not sure if it was that or the fact that I have the trim set to a button on my Logitech and had Repeat set to full in FS options for that key so I can just press and hold it. Dosn't bother other AC but the kingAir sure didn't like it. Set it to no repeat so just have to keep hitting the button but works better. Thanks for the help.

IMO "full" repeat rate is simply way too fast for any aircraft, setting it to middle is usually recommended, in fact it is the very first thing when you set up the FS9 for the first time. Even better, if you have the registered FSUIPC then assign the trim buttons through it and disable the joystick in FS, that would smooth it out a bit more.

I'll give it a try. I have the registered Version but have never messed with it. Any other suggestions on things I should turn on or off in FSUIPC? Thanks

It's been a long time since I flew the AW B200, however I do remeber if the autopilot is armed, on standby the trim is VERY sensitive. With it off completely and hand flying I never had any trim issues. I was using the unregistered version of FSUIPC. Hope this helps.Warm regards, Jeff

I'll give it a try. I usally arm the AP before takeoff and then just disengage it on landing. Never Fully turn it off.
