saving flight NGX

Featured Replies

Dear PMDG team,I was wondering if the new NGX will have a full save function. Panel state, fmc.,route etc.Makes it possible to fly a longer trip in several days. (if you don't have lots of time)Thanks for answering.Regards,Eric

Hey,The PMDG website says this: ''In addition to new FSX capabilities, the product will also utilize technology already seen in the award-winning PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies, The PMDG MD-11, and the PMDG J41 product lines, such as panel state saving/loading.'' So I guess that's a Yes... =)

Thanks, I know, but that's the same for the J41. The panelstate is saved, but the fmc isn't. That makes a big difference.Eric

Eric,It's even more extensive than what the MD-11 has. There's several aspects to the panel state saving and so on that we haven't even talked about yet - we will in due time.

Dear Ryan,Thanks for your answer. I'm very glad to hear it is more extensive than what the MD11 has. ( because the way you did it with the MD11 is already fine by me)Looking forward to it.Regards,Eric

I thought there was nothing more that can be added to the excellent panel saving technology already in place for the PMDG MD-11 and 747 (as for the j41, it is kind of a lite product so panel saving is not as full featured)99% of my long hauls in the PMDG MD11 and 747 are broken into pieces and flown over two or more days, and I must say I have zero complaints about their panel saving feature. I've run into problems with other products where I'd lose the FMC details, light positions, or even worse the autopilot will be off and I fall from the sky! With PMDG, I continue right where I was before without spilling my coffee or having to frantically reset switches, and I am very grateful that they take great pains to delve into such thoughtful details.I wonder what they can add to this incredible feature.

The JS41 does not have panel state saving listed on it's feature list. There's a reason that the FMC and a few other variables are not kept constant across saved flights.
