World of AI

Featured Replies

Good evening. I have been running FS9 on Windows XP for years and logged many hours in the air. I bought a new PC with Win 7 and was really excited to install the simulator on it so that I would not be slowed down by framerates. The simulator itself runs beautifully but I cannot download any AI traffic. I alwyas used World of AI in the past with its own installer, but this time, there are all sorts of problems. The one that comes back often is that, for example, I am loading AI West Jet, it tells me that WestJet Airline already exists. My only option is to repair it, and when I do, it tells me that none of the aircrafts are found. Is there something that I missed during the installation? Thanks for your time. It is really lonely out there.Ben

If you don't get the help here that you need, I highly recommend the WOAI forums - you have to "register" to see and use the forums but that is quick and free. The guys there are very knowledgeable and can usually help you find a solution.http://www.world-of-...Forum/index.php

BenInstalling FS to the default location can cause trouble. I never install anything that I may alter (like FS) to the default "Programs" folder. W7 doesn't allow updating in that folder. You could go to User Accounts in the control panel and turn off User Account Control, and see if that helps. Go to your Aircraft folder in FS ao see if your planes are really there.Bob

i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.

You are the greatest. I went to WOAI forum, registered, wrote my problem and voila.....plenty of planes on the ground and in the air (maybe too much. I had to wait ten minutes to leave Toronto). Thanks again. (another satisfied customer)Benoit

Can you "recap" the advice you received from the WOAI forum which solved the problem please? It might help someone else and save them having to hunt down your post at WOAI.

This was the advice given :You did a complete new setup of your machine but merged the OLD installer folder? Then you still have the data on the old installed package in the woai.data file. If this is the case you have two possibilities:1. Grab your old WOAI aircraft folders and flightplans from your old machine and you will have the same setup as before (as you already changed some things use also the old installer folder again)2. Use a fresh installer.

Kind Regards,
