January 16, 201115 yr ISDT's ATR-42 (and, I assume, it's ATR-72) uses the default King Air 350's 2D panel. It lacks a VC and cockpit views. Is there a replacement ATR-42 panel that can be used with the ISDT ATR-42? IF not, is there a payware ATR-42 (plan :( other than that found in Abacus' European Commuter Aircraft package?
January 16, 201115 yr A search on FlightSim yields several 42 panels. I'm using one by Holmburg, but I've not found it by searching.Bob
January 16, 201115 yr I am using a good 72 panel."ATR72_pa.zip". I cannot remember where I got it,though. best wishes RegT
January 17, 201115 yr Author I am using a good 72 panel."ATR72_pa.zip". I cannot remember where I got it,though. best wishes RegTThanks, I'll look for it! Since AVSIM's and Flightsim.com's file library's contain mostly ATR-72s, a few ATR42-300s, and almost no ATR 42-500s I may opt to go with the Flight1 ATR72 payware (depending on how many liveries come with it or are available online)...but I'll take a look at ATR72_pa.zip first....Thanks, again!Scott
January 17, 201115 yr Author I am using a good 72 panel."ATR72_pa.zip". I cannot remember where I got it,though. best wishes RegTGood news: Found it (on Flightsim.com! Bad news: It is tailored for a widescreen monitor and for the Fligh1 ATR72 payware (neither of which I have). Are you using it for a "normal" (I suppose a more accurate term would be "old-fashioned") monitor and the Flight1 ATR72 payware or the ISDT freeware ATR72?

January 17, 201115 yr A seartch on FlightSim.com with the keywords "Francisco Sanchez Castaner ATR-42" should also bring you up with a number of FS2002 repaints that included the base model created by Francisco himself. Works in FS2004 as well as FSX. That's my sole solution for a VC-ed ATR 42Dave. I think I've seen the last one you listed and it looked great except for the "ATR72" label on the dash. It would look a bit out of place in a ATR42...I know, I'm nitpicking (I prefer to call it being a stickler for accuracy (G)!)...ScottA seartch on FlightSim.com with the keywords "Francisco Sanchez Castaner ATR-42" should also bring you up with a number of FS2002 repaints that included the base model created by Francisco himself. January 18, 201115 yr Hi Scott, After seeing Dave's post I remembered the Panel. Yes it is a wide screen version and I downloaded it as my monitor is 16:10.However It didn't work as it needs the Flt1 ATR, so I just kept the file "in case". I am using the Francisco Sanchez-Castener model which is available here as "aces_atr42-500.zip". I can confirm that the panel is very good. Give it a try. Regards RegT

Regards RegTI agree, the Francisco Sanchez-Castener model is great! After getting Dave's suggestion I located the atr42_twe-nc.zip here. The Francisco Sanchez-Castener base model for the ATR42-300 was considerably harder to find (I finally located it on FSDome). It uses the same panel as the Francisco Sanchez-Castener ATR42-500 model. There is one downside, however. While everything on the panel works great in FS2002, the HSI, RMI, and ASI gauges are messed up in FS2004! I found a replacement panel which, while good enough to get by on I suppose (all the instruments work properly at least), doesn't have a working VC. The original Francisco Sanchez-Castener is present but all the instruments are missing!Have you seen or heard of a fix to the Francisco Sanchez-Castener panel that fixes the problem in FS2004?ScottA seartch on FlightSim.com with the keywords "Francisco Sanchez Castaner ATR-42" should also bring you up with a number of FS2002 repaints that included the base model created by Francisco himself. ScottFor an alternative VC panel, you will have to copy the [VCockpit] sections of the original panel and use tools such as Cfg Edit, Custom Panel Designer or FS Panel Studio to swap the missing HSI, ASI, RMI gauges with alternative gauges, either the ones from the panel used or from other aircraft such as e.g the default King Air gauges. For the second question, unfortunately, there are none :(. Dave.
