  1. navtech, Please don;t take this badly, as I am only trying to be helpful., but when you added the .OFF to the four files you did add " dot ADD" didn't you? Just a thought ! RegT
  2. Sorry to hear that. It could be a conflict with your existing scenery. My installation is quite good, although somewhat basic as I only have default in that area.. No problems with "wave action at the end of the runway". I'll keep it, at least for now. It's quite an intriguing place. RegT
  3. Ha Ha !! Just quoting the post by "csharpe" in the FSX forum. q.v.!!
  4. There is a promise of a FS2004 version soon but without some of the "bells and whistles". I, for one,am looking forward to it. There is nothing on St.Helena, in FS9 at present, RegT.
  5. +1 RegT
  6. 1. Win7-64 bit 2. FSX-SE DX11 3. Nvidia GTX 650 2gb Quick question could Sweetfx cause darkening of the VC panel in some aircraft? If so which setting will lighten it? Panel is ok when lit by the sun from the rear Thanks for any help. RegT
  7. Hi Zoran, Glad to hear the L-1011 works on your setup. Can you say how you corrected the "no wheels" problem on the 727. in FSX box? It may give me some clue. At the moment I have uninstalled the L-1011 until a fix comes up, but perhaps It's ME !!! Anyway, thanks for your comment. Reg Truckle
  8. Captain Sim's Legendary L-1011 doesn't work on my FSX-SE sole installation. No landing gear and no control surfaces work. Throttle seems OK. May be their installer. RegT Reg Truckle
  9. Just a couple of screenies taken on a flight around my local airport in East Kent, U.K. The only problem is the very dark sea colour. This is almost correct as the sea is usually muddy/green on dull days. There is also a tile which disappeared as I flew nearer, but I left it in for demo purposes Overall the new scenery is superb compared to default FS9. Best wishes RegT
  10. The plane was not in slew mode.I was actually taxiing under power. I think slew mode would give the lifting effect that you have reported. Is it possible that the author of "vhhh2005b" made this structure to hide the difference in levels when he placed the airport.Perhaps you could contact him. Reg
  11. Hi Martin,While Mel is sorting this out, hopefully,I thought I would put my own thoughts in to the pot.I was intrigued by your first post and installed vhhh2005b on to the default scenery and as I had never flown into Hong Kong before,I flew my Grumman Widgeon so I could investigate the problem on land and water.I landed about a mile offshore to the West and taxied in at 90 degrees to the runway. About half a mile from the shore my aircraft started jumping and shaking and came to a halt. In spot view the hull of my amphibian was hign out of the water, as if I had struck a sandbank. I then lowered the undercarriage and taxied the remaining half mile up an increasing slope, on to the runway. It appears as if the sea here acts like a solid surface with a waterlike texture.I had hoped to take a screen shot but I was unable to get one, and I don't know why.As things are I am sure you could take off in a land plane, about 200 yards out to sea and parallel to the runway. 12. Thank you Johan. I have installed your project and had a quick look around my neighbourhood, which is the Thames estuary and the eastern English Channel. This sea area,in FS9,has always been bare of shipping but is now transformed. I am now setting out to explore the French coast westwards. This project is only just starting,I am sure, and there must be more ship libraries to find. I have had a look at FSShipyards and they have individual ships to use as AI. Again, thank you for your work. It is much appreciated. Reg Truckle
  13. You are right, movement in shipping is too slow to see from an aircraft. The illusion of movement only needs a wake to be visible. \any chance of this? RegT
  14. I can hardly believe it.I have a few static ships from FS Shipyard dotted around the English coast and one ferry plying between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, U.K., which came with a small Isle of Wight scenery, but 45,000 worldwide!!! The mind boggles!!! Can't wait for you to finish it. Well done.Best wishes RegT.

Hello Kathie and the team, I am intrigued by the new sub-aqua sim. I was a scuba diver in the late 1960's with the British Subaqua Club and I have many happy memories from that time. One question, is the science of diving, i.e.the effects of pressure, nitrogen narcosis, etc simulated? Can we see some screen shots from the sim? I am so looking forward to reliving my experiences from the deep. Best wishes for a successful launch. RegT (flyer32a)
  16. My apologies to you all,I have just found the Bull Stearman in our own library!!! I feel rather embarrassed. I think it must be my age (80). Oh, for some more models like this!!! flyer32a
  17. Reference to Cyanide's post I had a look at the high spec Stearman, and I am very impressed. If anyone wants to get it it's on Simviation.com. Just search for Douglas Kallen. There is also an update file and a repaint for the Duster and Sprayer version. I must say I love the up-beat posts on this topic.!!! flyer32a
  18. Hi Mel and Dave, Your excellent advice has paid off.I used ScanFd to find the missing bgl file and there it was, inside another airfield I had made for New Zealand!!!! I would never have found it without your help. Thank you gentlemen. I am now reading up on ADE and looking forward to many more new airfields. Regards RegT
  19. Thanks,Mel and Dave for the prompt help. You have both given me lots to think about. When I have sorted it out I intend to try ADE.First of all I will download ScanAfd and try that. Anyway thanks to you both for the quick help. I will get back later when I get some results. All the best, RegT
  20. I have been tinkering with Afcad 2 for a few years without problems, but now I have built a new grass airfield using a grass runway surrounded by a grass apron to flatten the area. All was well until I adjusted some of the surrounding scenery using the transparency apron surface. The effect of this was to hide the whole apron on the Afcad window so I was unable to make any adjustments. I then deleted the airfield bgl, intending to start again. Although the field has been removed from Afcad2 and from "add on scenery" and appears nowhere else, it still shows up when I fly over it in FS9. There is no sign of the bgl file anywhere in FS9,so how can this happen. My only thought on this is that I may have "saved" the file at some time instead of "save as". I am now at a loss, short of reinstalling FS9. Can anyone help? Best wishes RegT(flyer32a)
  21. Hi Scott, After seeing Dave's post I remembered the Panel. Yes it is a wide screen version and I downloaded it as my monitor is 16:10.However It didn't work as it needs the Flt1 ATR, so I just kept the file "in case". I am using the Francisco Sanchez-Castener model which is available here as "aces_atr42-500.zip". I can confirm that the panel is very good. Give it a try. Regards RegT
  22. I am using a good 72 panel."ATR72_pa.zip". I cannot remember where I got it,though. best wishes RegT
  23. Hi, Thanks "mad dog" , for your help. I have followed your advice and found the file. I will keep a note of that site for future use. Regards Reg
  24. Hi Everyone, I am keen to download some of the soaring scenery files included in todays listing. I note that a base file called "CCS2k4.exe" is required. Does anyone know how to get it? I have tried the CCS home page but it is not apparent how to download it. I assume that it is payware. Any ideas?
  25. Hi John, As a relatively new member I thought I would echo your thoughts and say that the few times I have posted it has been to ask for help, and help has always been forthcoming. I am amazed at the amount of goodwill our hobby generates and long may it continue. My best wishes to all the lads who make the wonderful aircraft that we enjoy flying so much. Reg
