  1. Thanks to PebbleBeach, who put me on the right track, I am now in the process of getting a Matrox Tripleheadf2 go, which is,apparently the only way to extend the scenery in FS2004 across two or three monitors. This facility is not built in to either Windows or Microsoft FS I researched WidevieW,but that works by having a separate PC for each monitor,so it is quite expensive.. I think it appropriate to close this topic by saying I should have done my own homework before rushing into the forum , hoping others with more knowledge than I, would save me the the time and effort., and for that I apologise. Best wishes to you all, RegT
  2. Pebble Beach, Many thanks for your reply. Your Boeing simulator is as real as it gets. Wonderful1 I am using two old monitors with only VGA sockets so I have one plugged into the VGA socket on the video card and the other into the DVI socket by way of a VGA to DVI converter. It works O.K. with the Unigine benchmarks "Valley " and "Heaven".The graphics card is a GeForce GTX 650 Ti. Am I expecting too much from this set up? Incidently I have been looking into the prog "WidevieW". Will this work? RegT
  3. I have searched FS2004 topics and not found an answer to my problem. I have two identicle Viewsonic monitors that I would like to use as one display. I have been trying to do this ever since I downloaded the Unigine benchmarks Valley and Heaven. They have a setting called "Wall 2x1" which produces the desired result, and the effect is amazing, giving a huge panoramic view. Is there a similar setting in FS2004 which has the same effect?, perhaps in a configuration file? I had intended to use it in 2d panel view without the cockpit and use a panel made up of Simplugins panel builder on a smaller monitor. I am hoping that someone has tried this before and I would love to hear from you. Thanks in advance. RegT
  4. vortex681. Thank you, my friend. That is exactly the info I was looking for. It appears that the three versions of PSI-E are backwards compatible with regards to fit and usage, and each version gives increased performance, although the increase is barely noticeable, unless your whole rig is version 3.0 compatible. So I can go ahead and buy whatever card I want, and it will work. Now for the cost!!!!! Best wishes to all, flyer32a
  5. I have an elderly PC,about 10 years old. Various upgrades have kept it going. Now the graphics card has failed and I am looking for a replacement. Hoping to get a modern card I found that it may not be compatible with my old PCI-E socket, which is version 1.0. Any thoughts on this will be gratefully received. Flyer32
  6. navtech, Please don;t take this badly, as I am only trying to be helpful., but when you added the .OFF to the four files you did add " dot ADD" didn't you? Just a thought ! RegT
  7. Sorry to hear that. It could be a conflict with your existing scenery. My installation is quite good, although somewhat basic as I only have default in that area.. No problems with "wave action at the end of the runway". I'll keep it, at least for now. It's quite an intriguing place. RegT
  8. Ha Ha !! Just quoting the post by "csharpe" in the FSX forum. q.v.!!
  9. There is a promise of a FS2004 version soon but without some of the "bells and whistles". I, for one,am looking forward to it. There is nothing on St.Helena, in FS9 at present, RegT.
  10. Awaiting the FS9 version with great anticipation. Thank you x 100 ,RegT
  11. 1. Win7-64 bit 2. FSX-SE DX11 3. Nvidia GTX 650 2gb Quick question could Sweetfx cause darkening of the VC panel in some aircraft? If so which setting will lighten it? Panel is ok when lit by the sun from the rear Thanks for any help. RegT
  12. Upgraded to Win 10, really liked it but unable to make FS9 work with it. Tried lots of the suggestions in this thread, to no avail. I have now rolled back to Win 7 64 bit, as I can do without all the hassle. I am again enjoying my flying with wonderful smoothness. I will wait for a fix during the coming 11 months, and then try again. best wishes to all, RegT
  13. Hi Zoran, Glad to hear the L-1011 works on your setup. Can you say how you corrected the "no wheels" problem on the 727. in FSX box? It may give me some clue. At the moment I have uninstalled the L-1011 until a fix comes up, but perhaps It's ME !!! Anyway, thanks for your comment. Reg Truckle
  14. Captain Sim's Legendary L-1011 doesn't work on my FSX-SE sole installation. No landing gear and no control surfaces work. Throttle seems OK. May be their installer. RegT Reg Truckle
  15. Just a couple of screenies taken on a flight around my local airport in East Kent, U.K. The only problem is the very dark sea colour. This is almost correct as the sea is usually muddy/green on dull days. There is also a tile which disappeared as I flew nearer, but I left it in for demo purposes Overall the new scenery is superb compared to default FS9. Best wishes RegT
  16. The plane was not in slew mode.I was actually taxiing under power. I think slew mode would give the lifting effect that you have reported. Is it possible that the author of "vhhh2005b" made this structure to hide the difference in levels when he placed the airport.Perhaps you could contact him. Reg
  17. Hi Martin,While Mel is sorting this out, hopefully,I thought I would put my own thoughts in to the pot.I was intrigued by your first post and installed vhhh2005b on to the default scenery and as I had never flown into Hong Kong before,I flew my Grumman Widgeon so I could investigate the problem on land and water.I landed about a mile offshore to the West and taxied in at 90 degrees to the runway. About half a mile from the shore my aircraft started jumping and shaking and came to a halt. In spot view the hull of my amphibian was hign out of the water, as if I had struck a sandbank. I then lowered the undercarriage and taxied the remaining half mile up an increasing slope, on to the runway. It appears as if the sea here acts like a solid surface with a waterlike texture.I had hoped to take a screen shot but I was unable to get one, and I don't know why.As things are I am sure you could take off in a land plane, about 200 yards out to sea and parallel to the runway. 18. Thank you Johan. I have installed your project and had a quick look around my neighbourhood, which is the Thames estuary and the eastern English Channel. This sea area,in FS9,has always been bare of shipping but is now transformed. I am now setting out to explore the French coast westwards. This project is only just starting,I am sure, and there must be more ship libraries to find. I have had a look at FSShipyards and they have individual ships to use as AI. Again, thank you for your work. It is much appreciated. Reg Truckle
  19. You are right, movement in shipping is too slow to see from an aircraft. The illusion of movement only needs a wake to be visible. \any chance of this? RegT
  20. I can hardly believe it.I have a few static ships from FS Shipyard dotted around the English coast and one ferry plying between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, U.K., which came with a small Isle of Wight scenery, but 45,000 worldwide!!! The mind boggles!!! Can't wait for you to finish it. Well done.Best wishes RegT.

    Welcome!

Hello Kathie and the team, I am intrigued by the new sub-aqua sim. I was a scuba diver in the late 1960's with the British Subaqua Club and I have many happy memories from that time. One question, is the science of diving, i.e.the effects of pressure, nitrogen narcosis, etc simulated? Can we see some screen shots from the sim? I am so looking forward to reliving my experiences from the deep. Best wishes for a successful launch. RegT (flyer32a)
  22. My apologies to you all,I have just found the Bull Stearman in our own library!!! I feel rather embarrassed. I think it must be my age (80). Oh, for some more models like this!!! flyer32a
