January 18, 201115 yr So I just finished installing My Traffic 5.2 and followed all the steps closely. But when I open my FSX I do not see any new plane under the Free Flight : current aircraft tab. Also when I go to a airport there are no other planes at all - Ive also read a lot that sometimes it could be a less populated airport but Ive tried KLAX, KSFO, WSSS - All heavily populated airports. Ive also check the support and tried to fix this problem by checking in the Communicator folder As well as in the My Traffic\scenery if I had an AI schedule file in FS8/ttools format installed somewhere but I did not. Ive also tried deleting the my traffic , aircraft , scenery and schedule's and rebuilding it but my Traffic UI and Call signs for my planes are not there. Would really appreciate some help I have spend days trying to fix this. Even going to world-of-ai and trying to get UI's there but it still does not work!
January 18, 201115 yr Author Ive managed to get the planes parked all over the airports I go. But how do I choose different planes and airlines . As well as fly different routes according to the airlines. And also how do I start a route from the parking lot of the airport instead of the runway.

These are computer controlled aircraft only.Did I misunderstand what you're asking about? Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual

January 19, 201115 yr Author You could try to get help on the My Traffic support forum: http://forum.simflig...-support-forum/ Alright i'll try ask for some help over there. Thanks
January 19, 201115 yr Alright i'll try ask for some help over there.ThanksThere is nothing to ask, Wayne above gave you the correct answer, these aircraft models are AI only, you won't see them listed in the aircraft selection menu. There is a way though to make them user flyable, although I don't know why you would want to, as the models are not even at default quality in terms of visuals. There not meant to be. To make them flyable, you need to add a panel to them. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d

Or is that not possible also - like some videos on You Tube where people fly the actual airline routes with the call signs etc.

If you use default ATC, get editvoicepack, that will modify the phraseology to more standard ATC instructions, and is modifiable. It also fills in the blanks by adding the real world airlines. I also have an additional modification for it available in the FSX/Sounds library here, that adds wind call outs for landing instructions, and expected flight levels for Clearance Delivery. Your payware choices are Radar Contact 4.3 (RC4), Proflight 2000 Emulator (PFE), or VOXATC. You could even go with the ultimate realism, with live ATC from VATSIM. This is the site to get editvoicepack.http://www.editvoicepack.com/ Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d

But Since I already have My Traffic 5.2 doesn't that already provide all the real world airlines for me to fly? or does that just give Traffic basically

Watch some of my youtube videos below to here how they sound. The latest ones have my modifications added. For example this playlist Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d

January 19, 201115 yr Also can I ask how do I update the airlines.cfg file so that i can get my call signs. Because there are only the FSX fake airlines in that airlines.cfg file. EditVoicepack will do that for you. When you do an update there is a option to update it, just keep it checked. If you want to add an airline it doesn't include, then you can edit the airline.cfg file manually with notepad, but you probably won't get the audio unless you add a voice file with editvoicepack. That gets a little involved, but it can be done. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d

January 19, 201115 yr Author Ive updated EditVoicepack already and there are airlines. But when I go to Free flight and clicked details I clicked the airline that I want but it does not show - the plane is still the same. and how can I start at the gates like in your videos rather then the runway - as well as fly the real airline routes. Sorry if these are stupid or obvious question - I am kind of a dork at these kinda things!
January 19, 201115 yr Hi,editvoicepack only updates what ATC calls your aircraft, United, American or whatever. If you want to see your aircraft in the airlines livery, you have to download the required livery repaint for the aircraft you are flying. As for starting at a gate or parking spot other than the runway, you can select which gate or parking spot from the free flight menu. When you select which airport you want to fly from, go down to the box marked "choose runway/starting position" and click on the little arrow next to where it says active runway and you will be given a choice of starting positions (assuming the airport you're starting at has gates etc, most have, especially the major airports.)Hope this helps.Steve
