I have RC V-4 running with FS9, purchased way back 2006. With FSX installed on a separate computercan I install my RC from the disk? All I have is the Prod ID #; how could I get a new key toactivate RC on the new installation?RegardsDSave Wightman

Hi,You need to be running v4.3 of RC to be able to install for both FS9 and FSX. If you're running that version then install it again and choose FSX when prompted for the version of FS. It should install to a RC4X folder. Then request a new key using the standard procedure.If you're not running v4.3 JD will send you a link to it.

Thanks Ray.My existing RC with FS9 shows v-4.0.375 so it seems it is V-4.0Do I understand JD can provide an update patch to V-4.3 if I firstinstall from my existing disk and then activate RC as standard?my regardsDave Wightman

Hi Dave,Go ahead and install v4.0 and JD will hopefully be along to assist you to update to v4.3. It's an update of the executable and maybe some other files.

With RC4 install apparently completed Ok; when trying to run for for key/registration etc I get msg'"Component MSCOMCT2OCX or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered, a file is missing ornot valid" I ran installation gwice, same result. My OS is win 7 by the way.regardsDave Wightman

Send an e-mail to [email protected] with the e-mail address you ordered from as well as your registered user name at the order time. You'll get a link to the full 4.3 version to install (there is no patch version), download and install it with run as admin set. Set up a shortcut to it with run as admin set and complete the registration process. If your e-mail has changed since your original order elect to register it via your e-mail application (it might start that) and add to the body of the e-mail both your old and new e-mails. Be sure jdtllc.com is passed through your ISPs and your spam filter.After this rerun RC and place your new key into RC. Note you may have to use the procedure in the 713 error topic to register in Win some of the .dlls it uses.Once this is straightened out update to the latest version of FSUIPC.exe as noted below:-----------------Get the base FSUIPC version from:http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmland then interim update from the modules link on this page:http://forum.simflight.com/forum/142-download-links/FSUIPC now self installs initially based on your registry entry for your FS path. Check that with this free utility:FSX/FS9 Registry Repair Tool (36KB) from http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library---------------------and get makerwys.exe from here:http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/Once makerwys.exe is installed again rerun the scenery database rebuild entering in the rebuild process the full path to FS (I keep a text copy of that path handy for copy/pasting in to that query required every time you run the scenery rebuild).See how that works.

there is no "patch" to get to 4.34.3 is a full install. uninstall any rc version you have, download and install 4.3 - be sure to click the fsx, fs9 or fsx/fs9 option during installjd
