February 6, 201115 yr Only done four flights so far so still learning. If I set cruise alt of say FL320, /ac gets to about FL160 then climbs very slowly, EGT goes into red in will barely get to FL200.I'm obviously missing something, can anybody tell me what it is?Kevin Kyle
February 6, 201115 yr Hi just my thoughts if u max out in weight like fuel it will take time to climb once the fuel burns it will start to climb, also check out the ultimate height in the fmc that it recomends u to climb to. Bout the egt going to red generally is caused by fsx wind swings erractically i usually gewt this between FF250 to FL280 but onlky last bout 20 secs to a min b4 it goes back to normal or when i reach above FL300.If u got the reg version of fsuipc this will help alot to smooth out the wind as well I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
February 6, 201115 yr Author FMC is saying Optimum FL 325-338Just passing FL 240,speed has dropped to 276knt and stopped climbing. Thrust settings is saying 50C which is BS
February 6, 201115 yr V-RouteSorry my question was about the weather. I know vRoute but that's for your flightplan. So do you use FSInn-FSCopilot for your flights ? If yes I've a solution for you. Best RegardsMarc ManandiseWindows 10 PRO
February 6, 201115 yr Sorry, mis-understood your question. I use FSInnOK nice.I give you the solution with this link : http://wiki.cyberavia.org/index.php?title=FAQ_FSInn_%26_FSCopilot#Puis-je_utiliser_la_m.C3.A9t.C3.A9o_de_FSInn_sous_FSX_.3FThe explanations are in French but with the two pictures inside this tutorial you'll certainly understand what you must to do to avoid your problem. In any case if you've any question I'm ready to help you in English of course.Waiting for your reply and Best Regards from Belgium. Best RegardsMarc ManandiseWindows 10 PRO

February 6, 201115 yr By checkng the Disable weather box, does that not disconnect live weather? No check the point 6 of the tuto you can activate the meteo of FSX or another weather coming from Active sky or REX. The most important point is to disable weather box but also to click on the network name and only on the name !The small cloud on the right side of the network names must be inactive ... in any case otherwise you'll be in trouble with your TAT. Try a flight with my tips and you'll see ...:( Best RegardsMarc ManandiseWindows 10 PRO

Try a flight with my tips and you'll see ...:(Some more explanations below :Weather Bug in FSInn/FSX (affects Speeds, Temperatures, and Climb [above FL245]) This is an issue with FSX/Simconnect/weather. When flying at high altitudes (above FL245) there's a miscommunication between FSX and FSInn concerning the temperature. This TAT problem isn't experienced when flying below FL245. The resolution is to turn off FSInn's weather when flying above FL245 and use an alternate such as FSX's weather. There are two ways. Turn the weather off by default (Inn Control Panel -> Set -> Weather [Check/Uncheck]). With this option You will in effect use whatever alternate weather you already have in effect with Flight Simulator. Or (what I consider preferred) turn it off or on on-the-fly by clicking the CAVOK bottom to turn FSInn's Weather off or clicking the VATSIM cloud to turn it on. When you turn FSInn's weather off, use FSX's download real weather +15 minute option. To resume FSInn's VATSIM weather, just click on the cloud next to VATSIM Best RegardsMarc ManandiseWindows 10 PRO
February 6, 201115 yr Author Thanks Marc,Climb rate slowed at about FL190, Clicked CAVOK, climb went to 1500 fpm for about 1 minute then back to almost nothing. Stopped climbing at 22200, EGT overheat. Current aircraft weight is 560400lb, 152300 of that is fuel. TAT is showing 51c (No way at this altitude should - something)
February 6, 201115 yr Commercial Member Try not using FSInn weather at all for a flight and see if it solves the issue. If it does, you may want to invest in a weather program. They're worth it. Kyle Rodgers

February 7, 201115 yr Author Interesting comments. Pardon my cynicism but I have been using PMDG 744 with FSInn weather, for the last 6 months, with some minor power issues at higher altitudes, but has only been a real problem with the MD11. I know that in real world aviation, the OAT decreases at about 2deg c for every 1000ft and also the higher the temperature the worse the engine performance. So, from the above comments my understanding that FSInn and microsoft weather, temperatures increase with altitude thus the decline in the aircrafts performance.Do the add on weather programs work with online or are they independant weather generators? If so, Which weather forecast does one use to plan a flight? Is the VRoute or Vatspy weather forecast no good. Not trying to be awkward here, just want to get a clear understanding of how this all works. Thanks for all your replies so far and I am about to try a flight with FSInn weather turned off, and MS live weather turned on.
