February 9, 201115 yr Dear PMDG Team, I saw this photo on Airliners.net of a brand new 737-800. Instead of the "standard" VHF NAV tuning panels on the Aft Electronic panel, I saw what looked like an LCD NAV tuning panel. Will you be giving this as an option ? If not, with your tie-up with Boeing and access to data, can you give a brief explanation of what that is and what it does ? That would be much appreciated. Regards,Dinshaw Parakh.
February 9, 201115 yr Not sure about the 737 but that looks like the ATC/TCAS setting panel or the CPDLC panel to me!? Again, I don't know much about the 737. Eric Bocaneanu ROvACC Director
February 9, 201115 yr The radios and ATC panels are just forward of the two panels you are referring to, so they're not VHF radios...(those also contain a series of switch to set the various VHF, HF, COMM radios, an all-in-one panel)They aren't also TCAS, because the trasponder is in center, just after the Cargo Fire panel...They are the newest type of NAV radios installed on NGs...it's called Multi-mode panel and it used to set the VORs, ILSs and GLS.Cheers, Paolo Fumagalli "Everyday is a new flight, with new system to learn, new failures to prevent and new database to update..."

The original picture and the close up of the new nav panel almost look cgi because of how clean they are. I prefer the worn look. Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)

I prefer the worn look.Agreed. Having just the right amount of wear adds a great deal to the realism. They've really hit a homerun with this bird.
