That's not quite true. There are a few individuals who are very much aware of the meltdown in relations between MSGS and ACES. Essentially it comes down to diametrically opposed differences in "The Big Picture." MSGS wanted FS development to move to the Live Platform; ACES senior management did not... :mellow:None of those rehired came from the former senior management. They rehired the "grunts" who actually did the work. :(

If they really were, they would have kept the team and just forced them to move. I don't think you understand Microsoft so well.

Depending on the circumstances contracts are terminated...and new ones drawn up. So maybe you're the one that doesn't understand ;) Personally I've been terminated-hired due to such changes in structure. While the circumstances at ACES weren’t typical...they still followed that pattern. The other factor here was the optics for shareholders at the outset of recession. So what sort of additional role did that play? Who can say... Fr. Bill it does make sense. For what it's worth - I’m still reluctant to accept completely that’s the story ;) It’s all pretty much hearsay by the time it reaches me, LOL :) But it does make sense. Still I can think of a half dozen other strategies ACES had that were more contentious than Live. Also how seriously can we take a PC title without this sort of service?…That’s not even an option. Ask anyone why they were fired, and you’ll get a lot of rationalizations....some founded and some not. I tend to think these things seldom turn on a single cause; there are many causes, and it’s the weight of evidence that brings about the change. BTW we know of one manager that was canned before the shutter and another that was moved to a more critical position after. The media on Flight so far looks pretty much status quo. So it’ll be very interesting to finally try it and see how MSG’s strategy diverges from ACES.
