February 26, 201115 yr I'm new to FSX so I'm not familiar with all of it's quirks. I noticed in the J41 tutorial that a specific way of loading the flight is suggested. Is this launch method required to have the saved panel state preserved? I've been launching my saved flights from the free flight menu and the cockpit does not load in the same state that I left it. Does the J41 even save panel states? Perhaps there are elves fooling around with the switches overnight... Steve Giblin
February 26, 201115 yr The best way to get it, is to load game by double clicking the saved flight file, not by FSX.exe. To get cold&dark you can also use FSUIPC script or fs2crew, or someone some time ago posted a little app to gets J41 to C&D, you would have to search the forum for it.

February 27, 201115 yr There is a way to save the panel and overhead switches, but not the FMS. Set the panel as you desire and save the flight. Now, load the default flight you have in your FSX, and fly it for a few seconds. Then select your saved flight and it should be okay. If you don't fly the default flight just a little, your saved flight will not load correctly. This is not a normal way to start a saved flight, but it's the only way I've found to work with the J41. February 27, 201115 yr Commercial Member Woud it still be possible to use and external frame rate limiter starting that way?Yes, if you use the dll based version that ******* has post in the past and not the one that requires a .bat file.
