Real hostile today are we? No sense of humor, just pure aggression and nastiness, that's the forum love we're all used to. ;-) Seriously, you people need to calm down and use your brains, that is if you have any. Just because the host made up a rule does not make it or him IMMUNE to criticism and ridicule. I think it was a ridiculously silly rule and I stand by that. I'm sure you just smile and nod your head at everything that happens to you in real life right? Why should you get annoyed when somebody tells you that because you have a degree in psycology you have to sit alone in a corner incase people are intimidated by your presence, or because you're black you can't join the discussion group. I mean, it's their rules right? Why should you care? Maybe they are intimidated by you? Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. *end of sarcasm*
Emil, I agree with you completely, although you may want to choose your words more carefully. The tone in this forum as of late has become very nasty. Folks, if you don't have anything constructive or nice to say, keep it to yourself. This is public behavior 101 here, ok? If this continues, we'll just start deleting nasty posts, because it is growing tiresome. This is a place to enjoy, not to tip toe into feeling afraid of being flamed and criticized.Emil, your original post does remind me of a lot of funny server policies (not flight sim related tho). Years ago, I remember inadvertantly logging onto a "Christian" server to play Battlefield 1942, where they had strict rules about using bad language, but they were all running around committing virtual murder. I've seen servers that allow only one type of weapon and 90% of their time was spent yelling at people who randomly clicked on their server and were using something else. (wow, what fun). I've seen all kind of server policies that just destroy the original intent of (fill in the blank) game. In the end though, it's their server, and there are plenty to choose from. One of my favorite was recently logging onto a server for Team Fortress 2 disguised as a points server (a server that is just set up with targets so you can quickly gain points and weapons) but was really a hilarious, unwinnable trap. You log in and are instantly blinded until another team mate touches you (if you survived long enough), but then a giant cat popped out of the ground and shot fire from it's eyes, and would just wreak carnage on anyone not cowering behind a wall.

So what you are saying is that you were rejected by "some redneck from Texas" who "just wanted to be left in peace" and now that you are not getting support and sympathy you think you deserve, we are the ones who are hostile, aggressive, nasty and lacking humour.
You get B**ch slapped off a server (probably due to your attitude) because you didn't read the rules. So you thought you would come to this forum to find love and support but instead you get more beating.Dude, quit while your this far behind.
You guys are on fire today, keep em coming! ;-)

Haha, great examples of multiplayer silliness. I loved the Christian one, I guess they have their needs too! But yeah, people sometimes just follow the rules no matter how silly they might be without asking any questions.Thank you for your civil and light hearted post. You just saved me from being eaten by wolves. ;-) It's like a pack mentality kicks in once that first negative post pops up, and they go off like pitbulls. Forums can get pretty nasty when you have people like that browsing them.

What I find amusing is your negativity and constant persistancy in analyzing and telling others what is wrong with them and their attitudes(based on very little information).Perhaps you should stop judging people's intentions always in the most negative manner, and consentrate a bit more on how you yourselfare perceived by others. Or is this (and other) forum(s) somewhere for you to prove to the world how smart you are?Have to agree with Vic's post here, constructivism is a point, something I have yet to experience from your side.Though in your defence, I have not been here very long.Geir J.

Hi Emil, You have pointed the term 'nasty' in my direction a few times now. I didn't call you or anyone else a redneck or use any other derogatory term. Nor did I deride what you or anyone else chose to do, nor how you or they chose to do it. You opened this thread by being insulting about someone not here to defend themselves and all I and others have done is highlighted how your own description of the events paints you in a worse light then the person YOU were attacking. If you think that is me being 'nasty' then I recommand you get a better Norwegian to English dictionary. The ones I looked up translate nasty as "dårlig, heslig, stygg" which, I hope, is not how you meant to describe me.

PaulJust give it a rest. If you're that sensitive, I recommend you never go to a standup comedy show because you would constantly be offended. And by the way, are you implying that Norwegians can't speak English propely? How dare you! That's quite an accusation! You see where I'm going with this? Don't take everything so seriously.

Paul, give it a rest. You are criticizing the o.p. for deriding others, while you deride him. It's absurd.

You said it - it's *HIS* server. He probably wants to fly with like-minded individuals, and that's his call. I think deriding this anonymous person in an unrelated forum is totally unfair.Best regards,Robin.
Response to post below: (it disappeared)Yes, but just because it's HIS doesn't mean his rules aren't silly. You mentioned he might've wanted to fly with like-minded individuals, and that's a fair point, but I still think it's ridiculous to exclude people who share your interest / hobby just because you are scared they might know a little more. I would invite skilled people into my server just to learn, observe and question them and have a nice time. Anyway, please don't take the original post so seriously, it was not supposed to be mean spirited, but rather a humorous outlook on silly multiplayer rules. The host happened to be a real redneck so that was just a bonus. Thanks for your comment though.

Emil, truth is your post came through childish and cocky, not to mention the unfortunate remark about his accent or origin. Reference to those kind of cliches makes you look foolish to say the least. You don't even know the reasons why he decided to rule his server that way, and it's his server anyway, so just stop it

My goodness, I didn't know people were this sensitive. I now know what Bill Maher must be dealing with on a daily basis. Lighten up, don't be so damn defensive and politically correct.

Dude, if it wasn't for your own over sensitivity and defensiveness during the incident, you wouldn't even have a thread!Lighten up!Kevin Conway

I all seriousness. You are exactly right in what you just said. You have no idea how sensitive people are. That being said, you have no place to comment on someones accent, where they live or what type of server they want to run. What you are failing to realize is that there are other people on the interwebs and in the world besides you. In your defense, people do drink the keyboard courage kool-aid way to often around here. However, you need to realize that some people are very sensitive to what others say on here. Therefore, you shouldn't have splurted out all your emotions so quickly. That right there is a product of not thinking before you do something.

Well, in the interest of protecting Texas (someone call Jeff Foxworthy and make him stop), and since so many people have already had a chance to share with us how they are morally, emotionally and intellectually superior to the original poster, I think this one will be locked down now.
