Complete List Of The Best Fsx Addons For 2014
Thanks for the positive feedback everyone, a lot of nice points! Good point. Although I will continue to update it throughout 2014 as other good addons are released, so it will be up to date. So technically, it will be the "best" aircraft available for FSX in 2014. The "best" part is more of an eye catcher thing, and it is subjective for sure, but it might be one of those necessary "evils". Thanks! Should be fixed now. Thanks for the feedback. I might include freeware addons in the future, but the site is primarily for people who want to get "serious" about their hobby and start spending a little money. Most should be fixed now ! Thanks for pointing it out. And to the Milviz guys, I will probably do a more thorough summary / mention of you guys pretty soon. ;-)

Complete List Of The Best Fsx Addons For 2014
Hi guys, If anyone need help picking out the best FSX addons for 2014, you should check out www.fsxgetstarted.com for a complete list / guide. Pretty much every category is there; aircraft, airports, scenery, weather etc, even equipment for FSX - and it has small reviews and articles included. You will not be disappointed. Aimed at everybody, but especially those who really wanna break away from the default planes or simple freeware. Enjoy !

PMDG: Please Reconsider
Maybe you are ;) I'm not just talking about flying manually though, mainly I'm referring to IFR with AP turned on where you have to input a lot on the MCP / EFIS / FMC.

PMDG: Please Reconsider
"flaps, gear and so"? Yes, if you're flying a GA plane, or if you have autopilot on from beginning to end and have everything planned out perfectly. My point is that the VC doesn't work very well in a high workload IFR / raw data environment where you have to input things very quickly.

PMDG: Please Reconsider
Immersive and pretty to look at, but not very practical and user friendly.

PMDG: Please Reconsider
PMDG have stated several times that they will not be making any more aircraft with 2D cockpits.

PMDG: Please Reconsider
We're not talking about Cessna's here, there are only so many keys you can assign for large and complex airliners.

PMDG: Please Reconsider
Before I begin, I'll start with a disclaimer: I enjoy PMDG products very much, and I love what you guys do. All critique in this post is meant to be constructive and informative, it's nothing personal. I've been flying PMDG for years now, and I'm not about to stop ... at least when it comes to your current products. And here comes my point: Why are you being so stubborn when it comes to the 2D cockpit?Do you not realize that a lot of people find the 2D cockpit to be better version than its counterpart? No matter how much you praise and brag about the new and shiny VC's, (and they do look very nice), it won't change the fact that the VC is not very user friendly compared to the 2D version, even with other 3rd party payware like trackir and ezdok. And you can't seriously expect people to buy expensive 3rd party programs just to be able to enjoy your products? The VC looks great, but as soon as you turn off the autopilot or stop following the planned out route it quickly becomes frustrating, especially for people who enjoy raw data / IFR flying. It's not fun trying to think about camera angles and clickspots while you're flying a complex airliner like the 737 or a 777 *hint, hint*. It's even less fun when the plane is bouncing around during turbulence and you're desperately trying to pin down a clickspot with your tiny little mouse cursor. And YES, the experience can be improved with 3rd party programs, but these programs are NOT perfect, some people love them, and some hate them. And as I said above, they are expensive and not everyone can afford them. I on the other hand own both trackir and ezdok, and I admit they can be fun with smaller planes, but I do not use them for large airliners as I enjoy raw data / IFR flying. I use the 2D cockpit for fast input in an ever changing flight environment. To sum it up, I'm not arguing for a 2D only PMDG aircraft, I'm arguing for the customer to have a choice between 2D and 3D. Both are flawed in their own way, but let the customer choose what he/she wants to use. Yes, it will require a slightly longer development time, but I think a PMDG product should be ready to fly and user friendly right off the bat, and not have costly 3rd party software requirements in order to be flyable, and only so with autopilot turned on.That's all. No flaming, sarcasm or hateful comments please.

NGX Overrides Chat Window in MP
Whenever I open a chat window and try to write something in a gamespy multiplayer server, buttons like "g" and "z" override / ignore text input and instead moves the gear lever or turns on the autupilot. In other words; in multiplayer the NGX takes precedence over the MP chat window. Certain letters do not work in the chat, only on the plane. And before you ask: Yes, the cursor is blinking and indicating that the chat is ready for text input. Anyone else have this issue? I have the 747 and the MD-11, and have no problem with them in multiplayer at all. If this is a bug, which I'm pretty sure it is, please put this in the SP1 to-do list. Thanks.

STRIKE OF LUCK!
Karma? What is this guys, the 16th century? There is no such thing, and if you believe it, you are irrational. Aside from that, I don't think what he did was so despicable. I mean, the NGX was out, he was desperate and his mother could not be reasoned with. Dishonest? Sure, but we've all done something silly we're not proud of. As long as he doesn't start doing it as a hobby, it's all good. It was a moment of desperation, which is understandable.

Is this preformance normal with an i7 2600K?
5 years later and FSX is still killing our systems. I can't believe people with 2600K systems get less FPS than me though. I have a CoreDuo 8500 clocked to 3.7 Ghz and I get 15-18 fps at EGLL, in the VC. In the 747 and MD-11 I get around 25 fps in the same area, so the NGX is definitely resource intensive. But ultimately it comes down to FSX itself and its horribly optimized engine.

Haboob!
The moderators are very quick to ban regular members when they post hateful and offensive comments like this. He's basically saying that Europe and its people are stupid, inferior and not worthy of anything - "idiots" in fact. Maybe the mods should consider a temp ban?

Near Miss at JFK...
Yeah, pretty ridiculous, and they even brought Obama into it. Can't believe people still hate him so much. But aside from that, was it really a near miss? I would call it a near crash. Just an expression I know, but weird nonetheless.

The original post is gone for some reason. I also made a thread a few hours ago which is gone aswell. Strange.

Innsbruck LOC/DME West approach
Apparently they do. I got some LOWI charts specifically made for the 737, and all the charts are there; east, west, visual etc.rwy08 app:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKa9ILqgtS4&feature=relatedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DenurwQhnDc
