Well let me start off by saying, my computer sucks. My computer sucks real bad.AMD Athlon 64 1.90Ghz OC 2.5Ghz4GB RAM nVidia 9500GT 250GB Hard Drive630 Watt Power Supply And some other unimportant stuff. So, I've convinced my mum to let me upgrade, money isn't on my side. So that was a no.I had to figure out a way to do this. Let me tell you how. I waited until my mum and brother was asleep Then I begun mission 'Upgrade', deep in the jungle of my room. Backed in a corner in my cold twisted room, with one flashlight, the airy feeling settling in. I carefully unplugged my computer, makking sure not to disturb anything, up to the slightest form of Bacteria. While I sat there in the silhouette of the crescent moon. ScrewDriver in hand, I remembered the distinct tap it made has iron contacted the chipped paint on the nuts holding my case on. And carefully removed them, it didn't take long before I'd remove the SATA connections to my hard drive that squealed as I pulled it from it's bedding and carefully rested it aside, slowly exposing my heatsink and fan. I carefully removed those and there it was, lathered in thermal Paste, the Holy Grail, the Processor -Que Music- I lifted that out and held it with pride. It didn't take long for my nerves to get the memo, the thing was piping hot. Here is the fun part, and the most helpful part. I delicately took a fingernail clipper and snipped a few prongs off of the outdated piece of metal. I felt bad, I felt terrible, but that's what you get for being a 1.9Ghz processor. Carefully reset everything and turn on my computer, to meet an ever lasting beep, "JAMALJEY" my eyes wide with surprise, I quickly packed up and ran in the bath, to pretend as if I was showering. Skip to tomorrow, now earlier today (Yesterday's tomorrow) I got up and told my mum the issue, about my computer not starting. She said she'd call someone to check it out, that got the heart rate up a bit, what if he found out what I did? So he arrived, and he's going through all these diagnostics, I'm gripping on to faith here, but in some how God was behind me, he turned around and said "It looks like your mother board is fried Jamalje" My heart raging, he told my mum the best thing I can do Is get a new Mobo + CPU combination, so that works out ;)So a twist of faith helped me get a new computer, the end.Morale : Burn your computer you'll get a new one.

Am I missing something or did you destroy your mom's computer and dishonestly get her to buy new stuff?
I destroyed my computer, to get new stuff ;)Hey, it's my money going towards it anyway.EDIT : Before I get flamed, I just want you to know, not to read between the lines, if I hadn't done this, I'd of been with a 1.9Ghz Processor until 2016.

Karma's gonna catch up with you man..... You should feel guilty about what you did. When I was your age I wouldn't even stoop that low to get something I wanted.

I must be confused. It sounds as though you destroyed the CPU to get your way. When I was younger, I mowed grandma's yard, did errands, etc. for upgrades. And if it was in fact your money anyway, how'd she stop you from buying the upgrades?

If it is not IFR conditions it is not fun.

I'm also at a loss as to why you would advertise the fact you have questionable morals on a public flight simulation forum. Good luck with the upgrade.

Haha! Yeah guys karma is going to get me, but maybe you haven't read exactly what I'm saying. My mum wouldn't see anything wrong with my computer even though how much I have already plead to her that I need to upgrade it.Definately, I feel bad for doing it, but my 2 Years of Savings had to go somewhere! I certainly could not put up with 1.9Ghz for much longer tongue.pngI'm so getting hated on for this >_<

Same here, I have no idea why I would do such a thing.

Me neither.
It is truly unacceptable, I will apologies to my mother and live the next 5 years watching Barney.Oh my, My bad folks, I didn't know this was in the NGX Forums! (My homepage)That's what you were talking about, I'd like to have it moved,Or locked, because you guys do so good at making me feel bad, if you don't see me around for awhile, it's because I've made my apologies to my mum.

Karma? What is this guys, the 16th century? There is no such thing, and if you believe it, you are irrational. Aside from that, I don't think what he did was so despicable. I mean, the NGX was out, he was desperate and his mother could not be reasoned with. Dishonest? Sure, but we've all done something silly we're not proud of. As long as he doesn't start doing it as a hobby, it's all good. It was a moment of desperation, which is understandable.

Thanks, I honestly didn't think about it being like that, it's the only way my mum would of been convinced to let me get it, I just want to run my NGX without my FSX World looking like Micecraft.I'm a guy with strict morales, what we have isn't much and is to be shared with all of us, things don't come by often, once my mum sees that nothing is wrong with my computer, I would never update it, I saw this as the only way I could upgrade, and considered I didn't have much to lose, I did it without much thinking, please understand, I don't want to feel like a Taliban on the Forms.

I think you should of used the approach. like telling her that it would help you long term to be a airline pilot.
