AI Traffic

Featured Replies

HI folks, I just thought about which value is your AI Traffic? I´ve read somewhere that it should be on 10% or somewhat. Now I´m cuorius on which value you are running. 10% or something else.I´m personally running on 85% IFR Traffic and also 85% GA Traffic ( Yes, I´m an ai fetishist :(). With that I can fly everywhere except in the area of big airports where my FPS drops to about 9 FPS and it´s a kind of a big slideshow. But this will be better if I get my new CPU and the rest of my upgrade.

Best regards, Steffen

HelloMy system is similar to yours. I run no addons,or cfg tweaks, scenery and autogen sliders maxed, and use default AI. I have installed re-paints so that I have real liveries at airports. I run AI at 50%, and get 18+ fps at major airports. I understand that if you use WOAI planes you can get better FPS.Bob

Depends a lot on what type of AI your using as far as traffic that uses a bgl file (WOAI, MyTraffic, etc.) or traffic that is injected into FSX like Ultimate Traffic 2.When FSX first came out prior to the advent of UT2, I was running about all the WOAI packages and usually left it at about 60%-70%, much more than that would kill my FPS at large hubs. Now that I am running UT2, I set the UT2 slider at 100% for airline, and 100% for airline in the FSX UI since I am running some WOAI cargo packages that go off the FSX UI traffic slider. Typically I leave the UT2 general aviation slider set at 10% or less since I mainly fly into larger hubs where smaller g/a planes aren't very important to me.As far as the 10% you read that it should be set at, that's entirely up to you as far has how much traffic you want to see and how well your rig can handle it.

Well, I forgot to say that I´m using WOAI. Currently are 125 airlines installed.
