March 27, 201115 yr Hello Guys !Got a problem, every time I flips views I get this Circle next to the courser. and then, boooom CTD. Any ideas ???If this did not happen in the past and just started then did you just change anything in FSX? If you just installed a addon or just made a new tweak or two remove what you just changed and see if that fixes it.If you have not changed anything try the uiautomationcore fix that jahman posted.
March 27, 201115 yr Commercial Member If you have a BufferPools section make sure that UsePools=1 and set your StaleBufferThreshold to 393216. That fixed what your are describing for me.jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
March 27, 201115 yr Author Hello Guys.First, I Would like to thank all of you for your advice and support. now. I did everything, and even let FSX rebuild a new .cfg but nothing really helped, still get this little Circle whenever I'm trying to click on Main Panel View (In most cases, in some cases like the Baron Duek B60 I get it when I trying to display the GPS) ... somehow I get the feeling that it got to do with something I recently installed ( like the FSAvidyne) .....
March 28, 201115 yr I did everything, Does that include copying UIAUTOMATIONCORE.dll v. 6.0.6001.18000 into your FSX directory? (The dead give-away on this one is if you get the little circle of death after twenty or so time you right click on the screen of pop-up the menu-bar.)Cheers,- jahman.
March 28, 201115 yr Have you applied the triple wide panel fixes? trying to run main panel view with TripleHead2Go will not display instrument panel correctly and cause spinning circle thing.you need to visit the Avsim Library and search for 'TripleWide Panel Fixes for FSX Default AC. By George V. Trovato. all fixes for all default aircraft. Ron.
April 1, 201115 yr No. No good ...... still the same issue, should I give up ?????No, do not give up. First off, I hate dealing with nameless individuals, reminds me of dealing with automated call services. Do yourself a favor and put your first name in your sig people are more apt to helping someone with a name.It could be any number of things that are causing the CTD's, addon aircraft, software calls made via SimConnect or the general wellbeing of your computer whether it be fragmented files or the set-up of the computer itself. I recall reading something posted by Pete Dowsen who is the creator of FSUIPC recently where he described the issue of what causes most of our headaches with FSX, if I find it I will post the link.Do a little troubleshooting for me and plug back into one monitor only for now, this time rebuild the FSX.cfg so it recognizes the one monitor, adjust your settings, edit your .cfg and then restart FSX and try it out. Another thing to consider is to start your flight via the default at Friday Harbor and from there go to the airport that you wish to begin your flight and adjust date, time, weather etc. Have you deleted your saved flight's located in your Flight Simulator X Files folder? Your offender may be in one of those saved flights. You mentioned a program that you recently added, has it been uninstalled? One last thing to consider is to try Bojote's automated tweaking tool? There may be something that is added to your .cfg which may help. \Robert Hamlich/
