March 28, 201115 yr Hello everybody. As seen in one of the NickN guides (http://www.simforums.com/forums/nhancer-settings-for-new-drivers-updated-v1932_topic36586.html), when using NVinspector, in FSX we do have disabled AA and filtering set to trilinear. After playing with different AA settings, I realized, that FSX simply ignores that. I used 2x 8x, 32x and combined settings - the picture looks exactly the same no matter what is set in nVidia Inspector.I use NVinspector v1.9.5.5 (profile MS Flight Simulator X), GTX580 on v267.31 driver, but remember the same issue on GTX280 with v260 driver. Everything works under control of W7 x64 Pro.As I use TH2Go, I cannot have AA ticked in FSX (screen turns black for a second from time to time).Do any of You solved the issue or had similar symptoms? Or is everything jaggy like a sawblade?Secondly, FSX does not do the AA, it does not care what you set in nvidia inspector. The AA isdone by the GPU and the nvidia driver.Lastly, since I have no experience with TH2Go, what does it look like when you have a single monitor attachedas a test?On my system, I only get AA when in full screen mode, not when in windowed mode and the difference is verynoticeable. March 28, 201115 yr I doubt it's a TH2G issue, my 460 provides less than optimal AA, regardless of settings in NVInsp. Didn't have that problem in the 285 gtx days, go figure...Leaves us with the drivers?!Bjorn "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
March 29, 201115 yr Author First of all, do you get ANY AA in the picture? Or is everything jaggy like a sawblade?I can only see the difference between 'application controlled/off' and any of the AA settings (as in IT - binary Yes or No) - no matter which AA is used it is always on or offSecondly, FSX does not do the AA, it does not care what you set in nvidia inspector. The AA isdone by the GPU and the nvidia driver.I am aware of this, that is why AA is not checked in FSXLastly, since I have no experience with TH2Go, what does it look like when you have a single monitor attachedas a test?AA behaves exactly the same, although I can tick AA in FSX and have no black screen flashesOn my system, I only get AA when in full screen mode, not when in windowed mode and the difference is verynoticeable.I see the difference between on/off in both windowed and full screen. But there is no difference between different AA modesI doubt it's a TH2G issue, my 460 provides less than optimal AA, regardless of settings in NVInsp. Didn't have that problem in the 285 gtx days, go figure...Leaves us with the drivers?!I do not insist it is Th2Go. AA has to be unchecked in FSX when in 5040x1050 with Th2Go (because of black screens) Bartłomiej Ender
March 29, 201115 yr I had something like this happen to me these days where certain modes didn't work at all, or would only work in windowed mode. Deleting the Inspector profile, and starting from scratch fixed it.
