TSS Sounds

Featured Replies

Hi AllJust thought I'd share that I've just purchased the TSS Soundsets for the Airbus A320 family (both CFM and IAE) and can't begin to tell you how good they are.Not sure how many of you have, or have thought about payware sounds...I was a little bit sceptical before I purchased but they are absolutely fantastic. The sound when I powered up those engines was just phenomenal :( it sounds absolutely nothing like what is included with the Wilco 'buses that I've been flying.Anyone who is on the brink of purchasing payware sounds...you won't be disappointed with these.I may well have to think about looking at their Boeing sounds too...oh dear...this could hurt the wallet! Martin,Do you happen to have the Airsimmer 320? I have both products and use the Airsimmer sounds with the Wilco busses because they sound great. I've been eyeballing TSS' sound but have yet to purchase from them, but might be intrigued if they're better. Cheers,Peter

Hi PeterNo, I only have the Wilco buses. Not sure how the Airsimmer ones compare with TSS but I couldn't believe how different these were to the Wilco sounds. CheersMartin

Guys I completely agree. TSS produces terrific sounds! For those who are indeed eyeing the Boeing sounds, specifically the 737-Classics, I can tell you that they are absolutely amazing. They capture the classic 737s down to a T. The spool-up at takeoff is especially impressive! Check them out for sure!Mike

The AS sounds are probably the most realistic I have come across in a FS package. My problem with the TSS sounds is they still insist on creating sounds from a cabin perspective. Fair enough most simmers have not flown jumpseat but the sounds are not realistic at all when compared to the real thing.

Yeah, I guess it's an expectation thing more than anything.I've not been had the privilege of riding in the cockpit of anything (other than a 747-200 simulator) so I was just hoping for a big improvement on the default sounds, which I got - so I was very happy!Martin

I'll add a vote for TSS, I bought the King Air soundset and love it. 'Pleasant' and 'turboprop' are two terms not normally associated with one another when discussing soundsets, but somehow TSS has managed to come up with a pleasant turboprop soundset for the King Air. A well spent $13 bucks as far as I'm concerned, and it also eliminated the "no audio response to power reduction" problem I had with the supplied AFG King Air soundset. I think I'll go fly my King Air :( .Jim

Hey Martin,Dont get me wrong, I think the quality is great and I'm glad your happy. My only issue is that they charge for this stuff when you can hunt around and find better more realistic freeware on this site.

+1 As my simming has evolved, especially now to vc only, I can no longer stand such soundsets, especially if whirring flap motors, screeching touchdown sounds etc are included. It's just a question of taste though, no disrespect to those who like such things - fs is ALL compromise in one respect or other. I'm glad the OP has found something he enjoys :(

Regards,

Mark

+1 I have to say the Airsimmer sounds are amazing. The TSS sounds are more a sound heard from the passenger seats. The flight deck has a little different sound.
