Have had my yoke for a few weeks now. FSX accepted the controler just fine. I read somewhere that you didn't need the CD install. Is there anything usefull on the install disc? It's working fine ( after my spring labotomy) but wonder if it will work better with the install disc. Thank you.

FWIW, I have one and I didn't install the disk. Some of the throttle controls are a little jumpy but is works well. I believe I recall people saying to avoid the disk and I can say that I have not had some of the problems people have reported.

I had the yoke for christmas and w7 found a driver OKNext time I did a windows update, windows installed a newer driver.Just got the rudder pedals to go with it and w7 found a driver for those too.Absolutely no problems at all and i have not installed anything from the CD.IAN

If you want to use the sst profiler, you need Saitek drivers. If you don't use the profiler, I think all the drivers do is perform an "auto-calibration" (the normal controller calibration in windows is grayed out) and probably label the axes correctly in the controllers app. I never found Saitek auto-calibration good. The default windows HID drivers along with fsuicp works fine for me, though it takes a little work to calibrate in windows.scott s..
