FS2004 & Win7 X64 Full screen mode

Featured Replies

Hi,Recently I moved FS2004 from WinXP x86 to Win7 X64.In full screen mode I do have a strange issue. A few of my add-ons have a 'stick-to-FS-window' which run inside FS.For example the P/B application below:fr-fullscreen.jpgThe app is selected through the FS menu's. When I select the app in full screen mode, my whole FS display become black and unresponsive. Going to windowed mode, the app window and FS is visible again. In XP I could use these kind of apps/windows in full screen mode.Is this a known issue in Windows 7?Any advice is welcome,Egbert FS2004 SP1 | Windows 7 X64 SP1i7-980X | Gigabyte X58A-UD3R | Nvidia GTX570 1.25GB | 12GB Corsair DDR3

So I assume it's normal.Egbert FS2004 SP1 | Windows 7 X64 SP1i7-980X | Gigabyte X58A-UD3R | Nvidia GTX570 1.25GB | 12GB Corsair DDR3

This is an issue I'm seeing as well. If I want to open a third party window I have to go into Windowed mode in FS9 first then open the window.

HelloThat is just one of the joys that W764 brings to FSX, there are a few little niggles like this but nothing too major.

Your FS9 program may not be compatible with Windows 7. As you know, Windows 7 has a lot of security features and it is hoped you disabled UAC and any anti-virus program prior to installation. To be on the safe side, I would also right click the program execution and run it as Administrator. If it has a program .exe after installation, you can try right clicking on it and select the XP compatibility mode. I have several older programs in FSX that will not open in full screen mode and I have to go to windowed mode, change some settings, then go back to full screen. But I have never seen the "black screen" when doing this. Best regards,Jim

Hi Gents, Thanks for your replies.Unfortunately there is no solution for it, but it indeed is only a minor annoyance.Besides that, most of the airports I fly to are AES enhanced and can I use the AES P/B module. Egbert
