September FSX and Flight Comparison Screenshots
Thanks Hughes for your work on our behalf The Flight shots are magnificent. I can just imagine what add-ons will do, from great companies like Flight 1 and ORBX.

Steve Lacey, RIP
I add my deep condolences to Steve's family. I am very upset to hear the circumstances. Our roads are becoming raceways. I hope they make an example here.Thank you Steve for your hard work, helping us realize the dream of flight.

- Possible new 'tweak' for FS9
Standing-by here Gary Thanks very much for your help. FS9 now looks better to me than FSX, on my machine.Regards- Sudden stutters at Edinburgh Xtreme
Could be your runway textures. You could try changing the runways, and taxiways. I've had stutter problems with certain pavements.- Possible new 'tweak' for FS9
Understood hmar. I'm getting a new pc this year, so then I can hopefully fly with roads beaches more fluidly. Thanks again.Eddie- Possible new 'tweak' for FS9
Thanks very much for the tweaks Gary and other pros here. My fps is much higher, graphics are crisper at all ranges, and I have no micro-stutters. However, it appears that I lost my beaches using the new terrain cfg. Is there any way to adjust the terrain cfg to load them again. Maybe someone has a cfg they could post that leaves the beaches. Thanks Eddie- View of wings from cockpit
Hi Bob Thanks for the reply. As I said, there are a couple of multi livery packages with a complete aircraft that have wings in side views. One package has engines, the other wings. Looks great too. The model just says -normal model-, so I guess it's different. Thanks again for the FSX plane.- View of wings from cockpit
Hi Colonel and Tinmouse flyersFirst, thank you Bob for this elegant FSX aircraft. I enjoy it at least as much as any other plane. My question is how I can get the wings to appear in my 3/4 rear view, from the panel view. In other words, when I pull the hat switch back and left or right, I only get lights and no wing textures. I downloaded another package from Simviation, with a bunch of liveries, and I see the wings. Maybe it's the model? Anyway, I'd really like to get your official version working fully. Thanks for any help you can give me.Eddie J- Watching flight progress on Nav
Hi PMDG and 744 pilotsSorry for the basic question. I'm wondering if I can follow my flight's progress on the Nav screen (waypoints, whatever) if I just want to fly a default flight plan, using FS9's ATC.I have tried entering my origin and destination in the FMC. I think by doing so I may have gotten a plane icon at best (haven't tried doing it in a while).Thanks. Love the plane. I especially enjoy the quality feel of flying it. Best I ever have used in any flight sim. Thanks PMDG :) Thanks KLM painters :)I changed one letter in my name in case the boss googles me lol. I bought it on 12/14/09, from NY area. Hope that will suffice for now. I'll put a signature up when I can figure out how.Ed StacherFS9Phenom 9850PNY GTS 250 Special Edition 1 Gig (fyi nice card)6 megs DDR 2 ram- Tigran Studios
Hi T SmithGood luck to you with your projects. I wish the Saab were first in line :( My main problem with most add-on aircraft is that they spoil a good looking exterior model with a mediocre, unrealistic ltoyish ooking (and functioning) panel. PMDG is one of a few who don't disappoint in this way. So, you have a good role model.RegardsEd- Tinmouse files

Greg I know I used Explorer Suite, which is available on the Microsoft site. You should be able to figure it out from there, once you look at the program. I don't have the instructions though. But I remember there was a check box for large memory aware when I selected FS2004.Ed- Vista x64 Sp2
Upgraded today. No probs. FS9 Running very smoothly, and maybe smoother than before.- Im having the blurs
Thanks David. I'll try it later today. Hey David, one more thing, if you have experience with GE Pro, and the chance to respond. I have GE Pro, and I can't understand how to go from Metars to flying the flight from the selected (real Metars weather added) airports. I am fine getting the real weather conditions at origin / destination, but then when I want to use the selected airports, GE Pro asks if I want to load a saved flight plan. I even loaded a flight matching the orig/dest I selected in GE, but got the partly cloudy default GE conditions. I can't figure out why I am thrown off track after I select orig / dest, and then select Install...sheeeesh.Just doesn't seem like an intuitive process, at least for me, but there must be a working procedure.RegardsEddie- Im having the blurs
Actually the Terrain Max Vertex does extend clearer looking ground textures. I saw this fix recommended for blurried UT users on some boards. So I tried it, and I found that it works for me, especially with distant detail. If I could figure how the hell to save print screen shots from FS9, I'd put one up. lolHere's my display cfg section, if you'd like to try it out. I have the vertex cranked way up. Hi allI am getting no effect at all from autobrakes and reversers. Have updated to v 1.23, but not to 1.24, because the library is down. Tried relaoding install prog from different sources. Still no improvement. Anyone know if there's a fix? Maybe the cfg, ini or something?ThanksEddie- Im having the blurs
Try this. In FS9.cfg, change TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL from default to = 20. This should clear things up a long way in the distance, assuming you haven't done this already. I noticed a big improvement using this tweak.RegardsEddie- Tinmouse 2 reverse thrust and autobrake
Greetings fellow Tinmouse pilotsI have been flying the Tinmouse 2 for a couple of weeks now. For me, it's a great freeware plane. The only serious drawback to me is the lack of response I'm getting in both the reverse thrust and autobrakes. The only way I'm able to stop is by using the parking brake (.). I hope I'm doing something wrong and the problem can be resolved. I followed the install instructions, and tried reinstalling, to no avail.I wanted to post here in case you Tinmouse guys have addressed this possible flaw, by tweaking - or know if there's a mistake in the flight model or install that we have to live with.Welcome any input and help.Ed- What did Microsoft/ACES use? aggie - see what service pack 1 does for fsx. i hear it helps run the program "much better" that's from an aces guy we'll seei'm waiting to buy my new machine too i'm stuck with a mac right now so i'm monitoring the progress of the fixes but i might wait until amd comes out with their new 65 nm processors this summer i am hoping that, along with the service pack(s), amd's 65nm's will do the trick for frame rates, with dx10 support adding the finishing touch-just my thought process at this time- FSX - would love to run on Ultra High Settings, but how?
fyi I'm a Mac user trying to figure out when to make the move to pc for FSX. So far it seems that I should wait for the next processors set to launch in the second half of this year. It's torture waiting that long, but we'll see what the service pack does. Maybe I'll be able to make the move then. Multi core support would probably cynch the deal for me. Fat chance of that I suppose lol.Ed- FSX - would love to run on Ultra High Settings, but how?
Yeah I agree that traffic makes for more immersion. That's why I was asking. I have noticed that every time I look (maybe I haven't seen the right ones) at graphics settings submitted, road traffic is set at zero and they just do boats. I guess they save processing power for other things. It's good to hear that you have autos on the road.Ed- FSX - would love to run on Ultra High Settings, but how?
The upcoming service pack will help performance. By the way, are you guys able to have any road vehicle traffic? - Possible new 'tweak' for FS9
