FSX graphic problem

Featured Replies

hi,I have a new computer with a Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti 1Go , latest drivers 266.66, Nvidia inspector 1.9.4.1 with nick N recommended settings and FSX CFG set with Bojote automatic tool. The textures are very crisp below my aircraft but the adjacent tiles are at a lower resolution. FPS is above 150 and even above 250 when paused. A setting must be wrong somewhere but I can't find out which one. Can you help me?Thanks?

If you would like a bigger area of high rez textures, you need to change a setting in the fsx.cfg file.LOD_radius is 4.5 max when set by FSX, but many fly with 5.5 or 6.5 (I've even heard of 8.5) with some performance impact (!)Just be aware that if you change anything in the Display Options within FSX, it will reset to 4.5Lastly, be sure to have AF = 16X in nvidia inspector.

Bert's correct in what he says but there's something else wrong here. Even with a low LOD and AF you wouldn't get THAT much blurry area. Copy tyhe bojote cfg file somewhere safe and let FSX build a new one. Make the changes suggested by Bert andee what happens then - if it has an positive effect - start adding the Bojote changes back one at a time.Vic

Thank you guys for your help.I've found the culprit: meI had loaded one hi resolution scenery (megascenery earth) over a medium resolution scenery without realizing it. If I select only one, the problem disappears. When I bought my new rig with an intel 2600 k OC 4.6 Ghz I was concerned that it would not meet my expectations. In fact it is better than I thought with a FPS above 150 over photoscenery without autogen (I don't like it).Happy flying.

yankee, I have the EXACT same setup as you but am really struggling to figure out the best settings to run optimal... What are your inspector settings. I have megascenery so cal as well. running at 24fps...
