November 27, 200322 yr More than 24 hours ago I decided to go for the SSW A310 on SimMarket. Paid the 32 EUROS and it went through my Credit Card immediately. Then downloaded the
November 27, 200322 yr I hope it flys better than the customer support....I have considered purchasing the SSW310....maybe Ill re-consider.Regards
November 27, 200322 yr Can anyone legitimately argue that such issues are not in the public interest or a valid topic for discussion in these forums? Thanks for the warning.Allcott
November 27, 200322 yr Hold on a second...Did you read the forum??? Send the activation email to [email protected] If you are using it FS9 you must download the FS9 files from the downloads page, and you must also download the NAVDATA and put the file in your SSW folder before you even attaemp anything withthis plane. My Name on their forum is AirbusNut and if you look at my Sig on the forum you will see Im oficialy the SSW top moaner /whiner / complainer :), so Im not defending them. But due to the language barrier its not easy for them to make all things clear.I can tell you they are very good guys, and the Bus is great now, Im sorry that you are having this problem. I agree its not nice the way they have done all this, but trust me, You will be very happy.Jason
November 27, 200322 yr I've done all of the above ... and it is now 28 hours and counting ...With Carenado you buy, you download, you fly - within 10 minutes after the sale went through. With Flight1 you buy, you download, you get your key file - within 10 minutes after the sale you enjoy your present. Why can't they get it together within 28 hours?I've been on the AVSIM forum and did a search for SSW and it seems that this is their style if I see how many people complain about it. I should have checked before pulling out my credit card.Lamentations!
November 27, 200322 yr Hello,I sent the Email and got back the Reg Code very quickly.THIS IS NOT THE PROBLEM. Without access to the registered area, I also cannot get the files that I seem to need to install the product(s).When I bought the bus from Simmarket, I got two downloads, one for fs2002 and one for fs2004. WHAT are they good for. Neither goes into their respective sims and runs. I can't figure out why I got two if I still need files from a Registered User area that I am still not provided access to!I am actually excited about the product, have tried to get support and am still waiting.Ron [email protected]
November 27, 200322 yr The registration process is a pain with SSW but since the last update, the Bus does fly very well. I purchased it the day it was released and believe me there have been some "trials and tribulations". It is a very small team of developers and they seem to be much more capable of programming then they are customer service and support. Much of it, I think, has to do with the language barrier. One thing I can say is that they don't seem to censor their forum at all. There have been some downright nasty posts directed at them on their forum and they let them stay. Give it a chance, I think you will enjoy the Bus.
November 27, 200322 yr I purchased the 310 from SSW one day ago. I downloaded the product from the imflight page after purchase. I believe the file on Simflight contains all that is needed but on the user downloads area you can dowload the files seperate.I installed and sent off for the key - I recieved my activation code within 5 minutes! I am still waiting to get into the user area but as was said before, SSW need info from SWREG so that may take a while. My verdict on the aircraft and panel - first class! Flies smoother than the PMDG 737 and is far, far better than the PSS busses. I did one flight from KATL to KDTW that was perfect, in fact the best flight in an ailiner package for a long time.FMC is one of the better ones. Input from / to city pair. Entered NOTWO and was able to pick airway J43 to FLM and then select the SID for KDTW.I read the forum for an hour or so before purchase and it was easy to get the impression the product was no good. However, the product was up to V1.3 and many posters had good things to say so I purchased it - they were right! So, if you like the complicated airliner panels but have held off bying the SSW A310 I woould say the product is very, very good - buy it and you will be impressed.Ray Keattch.
November 27, 200322 yr Thanks,My problems are as follows:1. I have tried to install in fs2002 first. I get a DATABASE ERROR when I try to run the sim. I entered the activation code and still get the error. I installed the NAVDATA too.I tried the same install in FS2004 Ueven used the FS2004 download to get started) - Kills the entire sim to the desktop! I'm not sure but I think it is in the module area - I use a registered version of FSUIPC and a GOFLITE sysrem.I'm really frusted with the product so far - I'm looking forward to gettimg it running but still don't understand where to go now.

November 27, 200322 yr Having troubles too. I ordered the A310 from their website and got an e-mail saying to go to their user site and activate, which I did, and then I would be provided with a download link. We'll their user site has all dead links to it, except for their one to the SSW forum. So I have thrown out $37 US and can't even download anything, much less stumble through the registration process.I'm sending an e-mail to support. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.regards,
November 27, 200322 yr 1.. Download from SimMarket.2.. Installed to FS2004.3.. Loaded A310 in FS2004 and got database error - CTD.4.. Read text file about other files required but noticed the NavData was in the download - realised the SimMarket file was an 'all in one file!5.. Installed NavData6.. Loaded A310 in FS2004 and copied the code7.. Email code to SSW8.. 5 minutes later got activation9.. Loaded A310 and flew!10. Tried to register for user area at SSW - no name in database.11. Read top post in forum about SSW having to wait for info from SWREG12.. Waited 24 hrs then emailed support.13.. SSW support have just asked me to send my receipt.Maybe a complete uninstall and try again - stick with it because the immersion factor in this plane is superb! More hands on is required than the average modern FMC plane and so far she has flown like a dream! Wish I hadn't waited so long to purchase!Ray Keattch.
November 27, 200322 yr Download it from SimMarket - the file there is an all in one file. Log on to your SimMarket account and the file awaits you!See my other reply near this one for details how I was in the air in just a few minutes!Ray Keattch
November 27, 200322 yr Thanks Ray, I logged into my simmarket account (I have a history with them), there is nothing there for the SSWA310. Like I said, I ordered it dirctly from the simsoftworks website using their purchase link, it then takes me through an order process and I got a receipt from "SWREG", which is a shareware village in England. I never saw Simmarket mentioned through this process. Somehow I've paid the $$ and feel like I'm being led down a rathole.I'll keep trying...regards,
