Possible heads up on the 270.61 driver

Featured Replies

I just installed the new 270.61 driver, it has an automatic update feature, this came on during a flight to check for updates and it did some weird things, I lost all my sound and all the gauges in my MD11 froze up, my fsx itself did not lock up or freeze, just thought I would give a heads up about this feature, my advice turn the auto update feature off.

I doubt its the drivers honestly.

If you read my post again you will notice that I was talking about a feature of the new drivers(auto update), not the driver itself, and so far I have been able to reproduce this, so if any of you guys are seeing any issues when the auto update feature becomes active just disable it. Its not worth losing a flight over.

There is an option to disable the automatic check for updates. Right Mouse on the Tray Icon and select the Settings Option. Disable everything to do with automatic update checking.Afterwards you could even disable the Tray Icon from the NVidia Control Panel.

Right click the tray icon and hit "Update preferences" - the setting to disable it is in there.
