April 30, 201115 yr Hi, I`m start to thinking about the following,I won`t get into why things are taking so looooooong :( But as we all know Microsoft is developing the new Flightsim called Flight , also Aerosoft had started on a simular project. Will the new B 737 ngx be ready for this new flightsim or will it take a new updategreetz Henk
April 30, 201115 yr I think the Addons will work at least at Aerossofts new simulator, because i think they don´t wan´t to reproduce every single Addon they made for their new sim... :( But i´ve no idea whats the thing with FLIGHT regards, Alexander Marx
April 30, 201115 yr No one knows anything about Flight. And even if Microsoft is communicating with add-on developers like PMDG, they'll be under NDA anyway so they won't be able to talk to you.
April 30, 201115 yr I guess it won't be compatible at all. So when flight gets released it will be a simulator without addons like rex, fspassengers and pmdg. In other words: horrible. I started to use fsx over fs2004 when fspassengers was complete. That took a year (?). I believe that flight will be much better, but without the addons. In the future PMDG will release a thread that will say they are no longer producing for fsx, only for flight. A lot of people are annoyed by that and will keep asking if there will be a new plane for fsx. But in the end we will park all our ngx plane in the hangar and will start using PMDG addons for flights. If I see how much time the NGX takes, then it will me horrible to imagine how much time addons for flight will take. April 30, 201115 yr This has been discussed to death already. Here's one such topic - http://forum.avsim.net/topic/332051-microsoft-fly/Try a forum search next time.Short answer to your question: no one knows. AJ Pongress
April 30, 201115 yr Commercial Member The only video I've seen of Flight so far looks like FSX Version 2.I hope they do something with the flight model and drag it kicking and screaming into the 21st Century, but I doubt that will happen. MSFS has been left in the dust by recent dedicated flight sims.Best regards,Robin.
May 1, 201115 yr Will the new B 737 ngx be ready for this new flightsim or will it take a new updateWell, it's well advanced in FSX development now, so it will most likely require an update. I'm assuming it'll be the same thing with the Dash-8 and T7. Thanks, Kevin L
