I use a second PC where I run FSInn and a few other programs. Because my FSINN VATSIM communications are on the 2nd pc, my headset is there also. Is there any way to be able to use the voice edition with this setup or would a second mic be required.?thanks,Sterling

Hi SterlingDoubt that would be possible, therefore you would require a microphone be connected to your FS computer.CheersRichard.

Hi Sterling,The mic needs to be connected to your FS computer.Why?Because the speech recognition system is built into a "gauge" file, and the gauge file get loaded via the host aircraft's panel.cfg file.It literally becomes a part of the aircraft.Only way to do what you want to do is to use a 'splitter' so you could connect the mic to both computers.Cheers,

Will the one mic drive two sound cards? I use a laptop for Vroute Info and squakbox comms and FS on my main computer with FS2Crew and the Ifly. I was about to tackle this issue when I read this post and think I recall a post a while back (MadDog version) where you reccomend a "lapel mic" that Radio shack sells and taped to the boom mic on my headset. Which method do you think has the best chance for success?? (The "Y" cable sounds the cleanest) By the way, love the new Ifly version of Crew, the voice recognoition seems to be "smarter" than the MadDog. The FO gets it right most of the time the first time. (I'm actually considering letting him fly once in a while!)Mike B.

Hi Mike,Glad you like the iFly version!The underlying speech recognition system between it and the Maddog version is exactly the same.I've never personally tried splitting the mic, but I suspect the 'Y' cable would probably work best - but as I say don't hold me 100 percent to that as I've never done it!Cheers,
