  1. Hi John, What suburb in Adelaide are you from in SA. I am in the Riverland and can say I have never had problems downloading from the Library. If you are after any particular large file I would be happy to grab it for you and send it to you via Aust Post on a SD card or CD or whatever. Cheers, Richard.
  2. Basically anywhere outside the above mentioned folders, preferably on another physical HDD if you have one installed.
  3. HI, I have not done this myself, but guessing that you would need to set the FSX resolution so that the horizontal res. is set to the addition of the screens native over which you stretch the main window. Eg 2 1920x1080 24" LCD's would be set to 3840x1080 or as close as possible to that. Cheers
  4. LOL,Guess we could argue about this forever. I based my post on what I saw and guess I forgot exactly what was posted a few days earlier.Lets's just call a truce, and put paid to this. Happy flying, did you get hold of the FS2Crew?, great addon.God bless you,Richard.
  5. As in my original post, I only watched the preview video which presented an A330.
  6. Come on now matey, is their any specific rule all posts have to pertain to NGX specific subjects only. Maybe I hae missed that one.Obviously the OP is a keen NGX pilot and would just like to let people know how much he enjoyed the video, even though Airbus related, and simply asked for other peoples opinions. Besides, a fair bit of othe video would contain information, such as flight planning, nav procedures, etc which would be of benefit to any pilot, Airbus or not.Really, posts such as yours, I am sure we could do without. What I would say is, if you have nothing to add to the OP's, why bother posting at all? If you really don't have anything, just don't bother following the thread. These type of posts may hinder other users wanting to post other info, just because they may be objected to, and spoil their usage of the forum and all it's good benefits.By the way, whilst I have not got that video, and seen only the preview online, I have read the review and it seems that it should be very worthwile getting hold of, if you enjoy that sort of material. Really gald you have enjoyed your purchase and don't be put off.
  7. I would say, uninstall all the PMDG from the control panel, clean out any remaining folders and reinstall with the latest full aircraft update. Then patch to 1b. Voilla. If you have problems with the new patch, make sure you are not starting from a seved flight. Good idea to delete all your old ones from fs directory.Cheers.
  8. Rick. There is a link in an earlier post this thread from Bryan, should take you there.I simply print the online manual page to a PDF creator, eg the Normal Flow gave me a 4 page PDF to do what I like with.Richard.
  9. If I can jump in here, I have had this problem in the past and found it to be some sort of conflict or corruption of the FS key assignments. The way I fixed it was to go to FS key assignments and assign the flaps up/down to some keys and then remove the assignments.Fixed it for me, may be worth a try in that area.Cheers,Richard.
  10. Hi SterlingDoubt that would be possible, therefore you would require a microphone be connected to your FS computer.CheersRichard.
  11. Maybe you could try putting "It's" in front. "It's on" "It's off" "It's armed" etc. Two syllable words definitely seem to be better recognised.Cheers,Richard.
  12. Windows XPControl Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Voice>Voice playback/Advanced button. Is Advanced Audio properties, select speaker setup and performance.Cheers,Richard.
  13. Bryan,Yes definately, The F11 & F12 change to different views within the virtual cocpit. Has always been like that, thought it was intentional. Only happens with FS2crew loaded.Cheers,Richard.
  14. Brian,Had a play with screen modes, Widescreen full windowed, full screen mode made no difference. On second monitor 4-3 17" 1280x1024 full windowed and full screen, still the same, so wondering what res you are using? Maybe some setting in FSX.Also notice when mute is on and M displaying, almost looks like half the right side of the M vertical is half cutoff, so wondering if it may be a font issue, which font is actually being called up?If it turns out moving the display 1 char left causes other problems, why not just display 0-9 and not jump to 10, would be better than just seeing 0 and 1.By the way if the M is displaying, the volume is overlayed and doesn't display at all.Cheers,Richard.
  15. Yes the FO will say the prop is not unfeathered if you ask him to do the start, have not tried but if you attempt to do the startup yourself, will he still not allow it?Have noticed that when the JS41 is first installed, the props are correctly on the start locks for the first flight, after that if they are not put on start locks after shutdown correctly, next time you load the props will be in the feathered position, I know I have been caught out on this.Just a thought, would it be possible for the FO to report props feathered during or after his walkaround?Cheers,Richard.
