  1. Bryan: Good deal on the update. No biggie, but the link you posted in the Ifly forums for your website is blank. Might confuse some folks though. Thanks, Mike B.
  2. Ok Bryan, I'll see if I can get it to do it again. Have to wait untill this afternoon as we have guests and one is sleeping in my flight sim room!!! arg!!!Mike B.
  3. Hi Bryan: I recall a topic about the de-icing guys looping with blah, blah 100% but can't seem to locate it. I am getting that "problem" from time to time and don't remember what (if any) the fix was for making the guy keep repeating it. Thanks.Mike B.
  4. Ok, thanks for the quick reply.. I'll try the cable and let you know how it worksMike B.
  5. "Only way to do what you want to do is to use a 'splitter' so you could connect the mic to both computers." Hi Bryan. What are you referring to when you say "splitter"? A "Y" cable?? Will the one mic drive two sound cards? I use a laptop for Vroute Info and squakbox comms and FS on my main computer with FS2Crew and the Ifly. I was about to tackle this issue when I read this post and think I recall a post a while back (MadDog version) where you reccomend a "lapel mic" that Radio shack sells and taped to the boom mic on my headset. Which method do you think has the best chance for success?? (The "Y" cable sounds the cleanest) By the way, love the new Ifly version of Crew, the voice recognoition seems to be "smarter" than the MadDog. The FO gets it right most of the time the first time. (I'm actually considering letting him fly once in a while!)Mike B.
  6. This might be a rare exception Bryan but I don't have to hit the flap handle to get the FO to lower/raise the flaps. I can do EITHER, voice or do it myself. I am using the Precision Flight Controls (PFC) JetLiner Console and going through PFC.DLL. The flap control on my hardware is a momentary switch, hit it once for every flap position. LOVE this airplane!! Mike B.
  7. Ok thanks Bryan. Looking back at my post my real question was I guess, if I were to dicate using say Word, would the the phrase "Gear down" repeated several times be added to the voice recognition "education" or can you only "train" it with the voice item in the XP control panel program??Mike B.
  8. Hi Bryan. Is there a way to train the voice recognition on just the phrases related to FS2Crew?? I know I can "dictate" to things like Word but would that be worth doing?? How would the voice recognition "know" to keep the phrases for future use? Might be a dumb question but it would be neat if we could tailor the traing to just the FS2Crew 737 application. Mike B.
  9. Thanks Bryan, on the way to try again..Mike B.
  10. Hi Bryan. Great news on the voice edition. Question though. Went to your online store started to place the order, applied the coupon and got $19.64 as the total order, went to pay and PayPal is charging $22.12. Whats up with that?? The conversion rate on your store out of date or something??Mike B.
  11. Hi Bryan: Due to a lightning strike I may have to re-format my hard drive and reinstall EVERYTHING.. Is there a way to save my SAPI "education" to a file or do I have to send the dummy back to school again to teach it English??Mike B.P.S. I use the MadDog version.
  12. Thanks Bryan. This thing just keeps getting better and better!!Mike B.
  13. Bryan: I run a very civil and polite cockpit on my flights. I am so into the flight I constantly catch myself saying "thank you" to the FO after he acknowledges completino of a task but never get a polite "you're welcome" or "no problem" or my personal favorite from Sarah Palin, "you betcha" back. Could you possibly teach the FO some manners and have him respond to "thank you" or perhaps "thanks"? LOVE the Crew!! Mike B.
  14. Excellent work Patrick. Did you also make one for the MadDog as well?? I see MadDog mentioned in the readme. Mike B.
  15. "You don't need FS2Crew to use this panel - what Bryan did was make a few changes so that it will also work with FS2Crew."Yep, I got it. My point was that I don't fly the 767 anymore because of the wide monitors I now have. If I am satisified with the display mod then I will buy the Crew for it. I love, love the MadDog crew so the crew for the 767 is a slam dunk if the display looks ok.(P.S.) update. I did the mod to the panel and it looks great so will be doing the crew thing shortly. MIke B.
  16. Ok thanks Bryan. I was hopeing to see what the panel looks like before I bought the product. I don't use the 767 anymore since I bought the wide screens and the only plane I fly now is the MadDog/crew. Can someone post a screenshot of the 767 wide panel?? Thanks, Mike B.
  17. I know this has been discussed but I can't seem to find the wide monitor panel mod for the 767. Can someone point me to the mod?? Thanks, Mike B.
  18. Bryan: I was "lurking" around the J41 forum (I don't own it) and looked at the topic "Capt Flow Chart" and said to myself, that is exactly what I need for the dog. Any chance one of you gurus could whip up something like that?? I have printed and laminated a really nice check list you published right after the Dog version was done, however I am lost as to what I am supposed to do when. Looking over the J41 chart it was quite clear what needs to be done by whom and when.By the way, glad you are back on your FOOT ! (How did you do that by the way??) Mike B.
  19. You wouldn't happen to also have the Capt's flow chart for the MadDog?? That is exactly what I want for the Dog that puts ALL the stuff in one place instead of five different places. Mike B.
  20. I agree 100% with you, My first venture into Flight Sim was with Eric Ernst's freeware MD83 panel and the Dog has remained by far my favorite FS aircraft to fly. This sim is about the only thing I fly anymore and with the addition of the Voice Commander it has taken the Dog to an even higher level. I feel almost unworthy of the Dog and FS2Crew package now and I am hell bent on getting to be as professional as possible with both sims. I am in the process of changing my setup over to three 22" flat screen monitors with WideView in honor of the pair of addons. (My Wife bought me the three monitors for my Birthday! :( ) The 22" CRT monitor will go above the three flat screens for the overhead panel..By the way, I am also a PFC user, here is an old pix of the setup prior to the flat screen update... http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t357/w4fej/Picture045.jpg I nominate Bryan for Flight Sim developer of the year!! :( Mike B.
  21. Hi Bryan and crew. Just a quick note about SP1. I just installed a new hard drive and have a clean installation of EVERYTHING. Installed SP1 and just ran through the checklists on the ground with the aircraft A/C running in the background and was very sucessful in the checklists I could get him to him to do on the ground. I think the SP1 has greatly improved the recognition for me at least. Haven't had the time to try a flight as yet but will shortly. Thanks guys, well done... Mike B.
  22. Good deal. I have about 10 minutes in the left seat of a DC10-30! lol.. A friend of mine in California was a left seater on DC-10's and promised me he would take me on a ferry flight one day. Turns out this particular DC-10 made a milk run daily from PHNL to KSFO . One Wed of each week as soon as the folks were off the plane it would hustle down to LAX for maint. He got the assignment and called me up and said it was a go. All four of use flew up to SFO on a commerical (United I think it was) then waited for the -30 to arrive. When we departed there was nobody else on the plane, the flight crew and me! Wow, what a thrill. I was in the jump seat on take off from SFO with no pax, no cargo and bare minimum fuel. I could not believe the acceleratrion on take off as my buddy gave it a "little" extra gas on take off. I told him later I was really impressed and he told me it had a LOT more left to give but he needed to behave lest the company get wind of it. Lol. Enroute to lax at altitude he let me in the left seat for a bit. I was amazed at how tight the cockpit was. I am sure there is a technique to getting into the seat but I didn't know what it was. lol. I'm 6'2", 235 pounds and I got hung up about 3/4 of the way into the seat! Not pretty. Got in eventually.. On landing at about 1:00am he asked the tower for a change in runways so as to be closer to the maint facility and since no traffic was behinds us he floated way down the runway kicking the rudder back and forth and telling me this thing just loves to keep flying!! Very impressive airplane. What's your position on the DC10?Mike B.
  23. Nope. It implied the in the air the FO could only set the heading, airspeed etc when the AP was off. Bryan says you can do it with or without the AP engaged. I wanted the capability to tell the FO to turn to a heading when ATC directed me to and not have to fool with the mouse. The FO could actually HELP me during an approach. Lol..Mike B.
  24. Everyone completely missed the point of my post, guess I didn't explain my self very well. I know how to fly the aircraft and I have approx 1,000 real world hours in fixed wing and rotorcraft. My point was that the FS2Crew manual made it sound like it was ONLY possible to have the FO set the heading etc when the AP was off. Bryan straightened the misunderstanding out by telling me the FO can and will set those items EVEN if the AP is on or off. I understand fully about cockpit workload.Thanks. Mike B.
