June 7, 201115 yr I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. Honestly, the overhead panel is almost identical as the one on the 737NG. Throttle panel hasn't changed much either. One big difference of course is the centre console. Note that the fire panel has retained the width of the original centre console, a picture of which can be seen here. The 737NG has definitely retained the heritage of its forebears, most likely because it was designed so well in the first place. Why change what works well, after all? Mark Adeane - NZWN
June 7, 201115 yr Nice Pics....Hadn't seen that plane in awhile (Graduated SIUC in 1997) great program! John Skibo
June 7, 201115 yr Thanks for those pics. As an SIUC alum myself ('88 grad although I went through the A&P program from '84-'86) it's fun to see some of those buildings and ramp area again.Obviously, I missed the addition of the 737 but when I was down there we had an old Vickers Viscount to practice our ground handling with. Not quite as glamorous as the 737 but it had more than 2 engines so we were impressed.:( AMD 7800X3D, RTX 4090, 42" LG C3 OLED 4K TV/Monitor
