converting FSNav flight plans to FSX flight plans

Featured Replies

I haven't made the move to FSX and have stayed with FS9, but built a new machine and heading that way. I just found out FSNavigator isn't supported anymore and has never been converted to FSX. I know I must have had my head in the sand......I love FSNavigator and after reviewing other flight planning options I don't see anyone that is integrated into FSX like FSNavigator did with FS9. Any way I guess I will still build my flight plans in FS9 and then export them to FSX. Has anyone found a simple way to convert and Export FSNavigator flight plans to FSX?Thank you

HelloIf you are going to build your plans in FS9 using FSnav then export them to FSX, you are still going to miss out on the main feature of being able to run the planner within the Sim environment. In this case you might as well be using a stand alone planner anyway.I use FScommander which can do anything that FSnav could apart from run inside the Sim.In my case I run it on a laptop linked to FSX over my network.

I too used to use FSNavigator extensively when running FS2004.But since its own demise a good few years ago,and the migration to FSX,I have discovered that FS Commander v9 does the job as well if not better than FSNavigator. In fact,if you run FSX in the windowed mode, you can have the FSC sat in the taskbar region and its just as easy to integrate with FSX in that you can open the FSC window whilst not causing FSX to pause which I do regularly to check the track, live weather, etc, etc.
