July 1, 201114 yr Lol, yeah this has happened before. Quite funny to be honest. It's funny in hindsight, but it's actually a quite serious situation! What if that plane didn't see the turtles on the tarmac, and attempted to take off, and the engines sucked up 1 or more of these hard shelled creatures? It could be a very bad day for passengers and crew!! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d

It could be a very bad day for passengers and crew!!How are the aircraft at risk when JFK is well aware of the turtles being there. This happens every year at JFK so it is no surprise to anyone. It is great when we can learn to live with wildlife like this and you have to consider that this is part of their habitat. Their are many things in nature that are at risk to aircraft so this is why JFK has risk management, and these turtles are a part of managing that airport. The geese in the area are a greater risk then these turtles. Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
