Scott, I think they need to tag you as commercial member and then they will praise you because you do such things like your latest addon.I've finally finished my stuff and could buy the B377 with your new Accusim pack and although I had some worries about the older gauge tech there this stuff feels great and adds so much atmosphere.I did my first flights now and the sounds and features modelled are amazing.Since the performance is top notch too you guys once again made me buy a bird in which I, on the first view, wasn't interested in. But my first view was wrong, as on all the other A2A planes I own and love now.

Sorry but it's not really clear to me. According to their website, we need two different packages. Could somebody tell me which one exactly i have to download. Many thanks.

Raymar,Right now, there are two products:- A2A Boeing 377 Stratocruiser- Accu-Sim Captain of the Ship ExpansionThe 377 launched our Accu-Sim engine, about three years ago. Captain of the Ship represents how we would Accu-Sim this airplane today, after all of this time and advancement in the engine. So we kept is simple and removed the old Accu-Sim pack from the 'shelves' and replaced it with this new one.ScottA2A Simulations

You have on base pack (so to speak), that's the B377 itself. Then you can add Accusim to it, which comes at a full Captain of the Ship pack for the new buyers (without an older pack installed) or as an upgrade package for those who already had Accusim (without CotS) running. This leads to the mentioned three packages. So as a completely new B377 customer (like I was), go B377 + full CotS pack, ending up just before the 60 Dollar mark when using the bundle option.B377 (make sure to use this option Add Captain of the Ship PackSave $7.00 with Bundle ( +$22.99 ) at the end of the page) For owners which alread have the B377 "base" and want to go directly to CotS. The older Accusim pack isn't available any longer.CotS (full)For owners of the older Accusim for the B377.CotS (Upgrade)

I wonder if it is a good sign to hear a crying baby on the approach. This distracts me, but as a professional flight sim Captain I can focus on the task of course. Just%20Kidding.gifI now have to check the LINDA additions. Maybe I can add some buttons as assignments.

Hi CoolP. I hope you have never been into fishing, ala fisherman, because your last post was akin to a fisherman reeling them in.Boy,your detailed breakdown of what is available now for new buyers as well as upgrades for previous buyers, added to your other endorsements for this fine product, makes it so mouthwatering tempting. Irresistible I'd go as far as to sayWhy on earth did that FS2Crew offer as well as the CaptSim one-off offer and this product from A2A all manifest themselves at the same time? After all,the old wallet can only take so many hits.

yes, feel free to use it! :(
After I saw how fast you guys answer support items and also how easy it is with LINDA to integrate e. g. new macro files (new T-38A) I actually did. A big improvement over any former (and still valid) methods there and great work from you guys. :smile:I've voted for some M-Panel support now over at your forums. Next device to support in LINDA?

"I wonder if it is a good sign to hear a crying baby on the approach"CoolIP,As you are descending on final, many times the cabin pressure altitude is above the pressure altitude outside your plane. There is a pressurization valve that opens to prevent a vacuum condition from happening in the cabin, so you will never see a higher cabin alt than pressure alt outside. You can see this on your large dual pressure altitude gauge in the upper right of the engineer's panel. This shows you both outside altitude and cabin altitude. Let's say that you are on approach and your outside altitude 1,000 ft. As you descend through 1,000 ft, your cabin descent rate will track equal to your actual descent rate, so you won't get those benefits of the cabin pressurization system limiting the rate of change, like you do at altitude. So, this means it is important you don’t make sudden plunges for the ground on final as this will cause a rapid change of pressure in the cabin. For many, this isn’t an issue but anyone with allergy trouble, colds, ear infections, etc. can experience an uncomfortable pressure on the ear drum (a blocked or restricted Eustachian tube from congestion causes this) from just moderate changes. And anyone who flies knows babies are very sensitive to these pressure changes too.So, if you are on final and descending rather rapidly (500+ ft/min), and you hear a baby cry in the back, this will likely annoy nearby passengers, and ultimately, will affect their mood. This ultimately has some effect on what is said about that flight. However, just like in real life, there is chance involved. You may get away with some bad flying sometimes, and other times you may not. People also are not thrilled about go-arounds (the airline also isn’t nuts about wasting fuel), so you have to make that call on a high final whether it is worth making a rapid descent or just aborting and going around.Scott.

Amazing detail. Thanks for that and the explanation, Scott. You are right, I was trying to catch may path there and the passengers spoke about a jerky plane .. or a bad pilot (which would have been the case) in those reports later. Funny and exciting thing indeed.I will be more precise there, so the baby may become a great pilot. :(

'I've bumped heads with the guy sitting next to me.' LOL.gifI guess that means I really have to work on my stick and rudder coordination. Must have happened as the rudder boost was on, at least that's where I sometimes lose the centred ball (no plural here!).But my landing made them applaud, so there is hope.I think the cruise and other flight status messages are getting a hard time with me doing some touch&gos. I sometimes got the cruise message on the downwind leg and a very correct 'we're descending towards our destination' when on final. You gotta keep those folks in the back informed, no matter what. :(

What is the best place to get support from A2A? I went to their forums but most of the simconnect questions are answered with a "you need to reinstall FSX".Couple days ago I bought the Piper Cub + Accusim pack and when I load the aircraft I get a "Simconnect error, some of the Cub features might not work, restart FSX"I downloaded their tool that checks for simconnect problems and it reports no problem at all. As soon as I change to any other aircraft on my hangar I get the message that simconnect link is established or something like that.Notice that I have dozens of add ons from different vendors and they all work ok.I reinstalled the Cub 3 times, added all updates but the error won't go away. The strange thing is that I can close the error window with a right click and go on with my flight. Everything seems to work including the passenger and tow bar.Is there a fix for this? What are these "features" that I'm supposedly missing?

Did you install her with right click 'run as admin' and all antivirus off? Also, do you have that dll entry in your dll.xml for the A2A_Service.dll?I'd say that the best place for support still is the A2A forum. From reading, they are very fast and competent, and so are the other users there.I usually load a flight from the free flight screen with the default trike and then switch to any addon plane. This works fine after a fresh FSX start.I think you can help your simconnect installation when using the separate installer file in the SDK folders. It's at Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib and called SimConnect.exe.Obviously, you need to install the SDK first to have access to it.I keep getting better, unless Scott tells me that this comment isn't a good one.betterb.jpg

Ramirin,This is very odd, as that error message indicates FSX SimConnect is not working properly on your system. There is a very small percentage of systems in the FSX community running FSX with a corrupt SimConnect installation (our figures show maybe 1-3%). However what is odd is you are getting this message, yet everything seems to be working OK.Let me run this around the horn over here and see if we can dig deeper. We will report back.Scott.

Scott, thank you very much for looking into it. I really don't want to reinstall FSX if possible. I have so many add ons it would take me a week to get it back up and running. If you need more info on my system specs etc just let me know.By the way the Cub is amazing. I had no idea what accusim was until I bought this package. I support developers that push FSX to new boundaries so I'll be getting your B377, B17 and Spitfire as soon as I recover from the recent spending spree :-) (within the last 2 weeks I've purchased $340 worth of ORBX products, Sim_savvy photoreal America, Aerosoft Katana 4X, the 707, 767 and C130 from Captain Sim, ProFlight Emulator and the A2A Piper Cub)

:( Can you fly all that? However, seems like you take your banner sentence serious too. Thumbsup!Hoping for you to get the plane running soon. :smile:I've looked through the A2A forums in the B377 sections now and found various cool docs regarding e. g. the turbo management and also the pressurization. That's nice work there and mentions my crying babies again (I'm getting better in avoiding them though).Stratocruiser Real-World ARTICLES and RESOURCESI wonder if the B377 is able to run on time acceleration. My guess is that she is not since quite some stuff runs outside the sim (so normal speed only). The 'pause at ..' tool is really neat though and a great idea, but I wonder how to get along with some of the lengthy blue flight stages on such a bird. I mean, the pause tool takes into account that some users may even get away from the screen when flying the long stages, that's why I'm asking.Wasn't a problem on any of my other A2A planes since they don't have that profile the B377 has, but maybe it is possible to go to 2x or 4x without big system troubles there to shorten the 10 hrs flights a bit. :mellow:Didn't find much in the manuals or the forums on this. Maybe I'll just try it, watching the fuel burn rate closely.

Lol. Working full time and going to college at night plus the wife leaves me with little time to fly. However, I can't resist sales like Captain Sim $9.99 or $20 off PFE.Also FSX is the world where I go to when I need to relax and forget all my real life problems. I really admire all the developers that contribute to that little world of mine and make it better with every quality add on. My only way to say thanks is by showing them support with my hard earned money!
