July 6, 201114 yr Noticed that this aircraft is quite difficult to put down on the runway without excessive floating!I have no problem with this if the real bird behaves this way. Does anyone know? July 6, 201114 yr Author No it does not float at all for me, unless you overdo the flare of cause..hmmm, somethings wrong for me then....full flap 80-85 IAS, power off, even just raising the nose to start the flare causes the aircraft to balloon back up. I must need to bleed some more speed before the flare. Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
July 6, 201114 yr Approach Speed is toooo fast, should be about 65 - 70 KIAS. Try it and see if it works.
July 6, 201114 yr Author Checklist states higher - I am sure! 65 knots would make more sense though based on my landings so far!!! Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
July 6, 201114 yr Author 70 knots....much better...thanks Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
July 29, 201114 yr the real airplane floats like a lot. I fly an older one but flaps 30 at 80mph works well. whatever 80 mph converted to kias should work well for you. Sometimes the airplane will float for what it seems to be 200 ft. Im sure it really doesnt but it feels like it.
