July 7, 201114 yr Thanks in advance for any help.....So basically my problem is that the FO does not set power correctly on the take off roll and when I try to manually advance fully forward, I get an overtemp. The manual says:"When you call “SET POWER,” the FO will attempt to set full power. However, your joystick throttle may override the FO. Therefore, when you call “SET POWER,” manually advance your throttle to the full forward position!"If I do this I always get an overtemp...... any suggestions on ether getting the FO to set power correctly (preferred option) or not getting an overtemp on full throttle (without having to advance them too gingerly) would be greatly appreciated.P.S I stopped flying the J41 before I purchased FS2Crew Voice commander, but have now re-discovered it due to the decrease in workload provided by the FO. I now don't fly any complex add-on without it! so please create a voice edition for the PMDG MD11. "Military Intelligence is a contradiction in terms" Paul Yates
July 7, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi Paul,Just bring the throttles back a bit to avoid over-temping the engines.Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
November 16, 201114 yr Hey Bryan. Sorry to be a bother but I have a take off issue. I get through all my flows, briefs, etc., taxi to the runway, get clearance, advance throttles, say "set power", but the plane creeps down the runway. It will not make it above taxi speed. All my v-speeds are set but it won't reach take off speed. Can you help? Eric Grindstaff - MacAir COO Millennium Aviation Company - Macairvirtual.com - The VA with a choice!
November 16, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi,Sounds like you never removed the 'Start Locks". Be sure to double check the PMDG manual regarding the start locks and how to remove them.Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
