July 15, 201114 yr Hi allIs anyone familiar with Area 51 products? I am tossing a coin between their C-17 and Virtavia's.......but there is something about the Virtavia model which doesn't quite seem right - particularly the modelling of the nose area.Particulalry interested in the quality of the Area-51 VC and flight model. Any feedback appreciated.Thankserich
July 15, 201114 yr Me too.Just had a look at their website and the screenshots look appetising. But before I take the plunge, would like a 2nd opinion of this v Virtavia's version. The ad splash says 'clickable switches'.Just how clickable? Most of them, or just a few ala default FSX or clickable ala PMDG? The exterior looks good. Rick Almeida
July 16, 201114 yr No-one is familiar with their products?I bought the Area51 C-5 Galaxy. It's somewhat older but I think it's pretty awfull. The VC is about the most 'cartoonish' looking I've ever seen.I would suggest having a look at the threads on Sim Outhouse comparing the A51 & Vertavia models. Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

It seems as though they both have favorable features. How else would you compromise? Flight dynamics on one version, but not the other version - Gauges on one version but not the other - visual model on one and not so much the other? Sound on one, but not the other? Maybe some of us will mix-match it all and share the outcome in review. Keith Guillory
