Repaints - Final release list?

Recommended Posts

It's a pain to look at your "Add/Remove Programs" only to see a long list of PMDG paints.
And that's why I manually install the PMDG 747 repaints... though that's also a pain.

Ryan, I think it's been talked about before...but just to be sure, not every livery we add will show up as a program on our computer, right? It's a pain to look at your "Add/Remove Programs" only to see a long list of PMDG paints.
Yes that entire system is going away. After NGX release, the Livery Manger will be made compatible with the entire PMDG product line and all the installer-based liveries will go away in favor of our new format - .ptp files, stands for "PMDG Texture Pack." In the case of the NGX that ptp file can also include the options loadout/loadouts (yes plural tongue.gif ) for the livery. Imagine downloading a single SWA livery and getting the choice live in the sim between a pre-RNP version of that airplane with EFIS/MAP, no AT or VNAV, Honeywell MCP etc and the option for a post-RNP version with PFD/ND, the Collins MCP, AT and VNAV working etc. It's a very neat system and I think it's more extensive and intuitive than any similar utilities out there.

Well, this is very good news. This feature is on the top of my list. Up there as well is being able to load and weight and fuel from inside the airplane via the FMC. So close I can almost smell the jet fuel.
